POSITIVE THOUGHTS OF THE DAY

Wouldn't you know that you entrusted me to keep this going in your absence and I was also gone until this evening! But Sandra was here and now you're back too! Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend and have some interesting real estate things in the works.

My weekend was lovely -- spent with my husband. We went to a quaint little town in Ilinois and enjoyed good food and quiet time.

My husband and I have been having ongoing talks as we plan for our future--both of us are working on different aspects of that future.

The weather this weekend has been beautiful.

This week I am going to track down the right person to speak with at the bank that owns the home down the street from me.

And we'll see what Monday brings!

You know you could depend on me, just say the word and it is done. Happy to have you both back, Marc and Nancy. Well Saturday, I sat around the house and did nothing. I had a hard week at work and decided this weekend was going to be mine. I listened to many motivational speakers and that was quite encouraging (one of them was Ephren Taylor). Played some oldies and goldies, back in time music from the 60s and 80s, that was nostalgic and wonderful. Spent a little over two hours in the kitchen preparing meals for the family today, excited about that and finally I have my DG moment with the family, HOORAY!!!! Hope everyone had a splashing weekend. God Bless.

Positives for today
-new glasses came in, so getting them after work
-should be able to get an offer in I have been wanting to, but time wise has not worked out for myself, or the agent...
-had 4 days off, so feel good even though heading back to work

Helloooo to everyone on this post (and a special shout out to Sandra and Marc!)

Things were so hectic and time filled yesterday I didn't have a moment to post on Monday, so here it two days worth of positiveness! (is that a word? if not, it should be! )

--My sister unexpectedly sent me an interesting property yesterday (which I
did take a quick moment to write about in my journal)
--This morning still have good thoughts about that house on my mind and am
thinking creatively around it (wrote about that too in my journal this a.m.)
--Thought I was going to be late to work today but wasn't.
--Looking forward to making an offer on the house that I mentioned above. Doing
research on it today and will put an offer in before the week is done.
--Am blessed with a wonderful husband and can't wait to see him at the end of
the day.

Today I am not feeling very positive, although you know me, positive stuff everywhere
-tired and bout to head to work, but making money and day off tomorrow
-road dirt bikes with my brother and his friend for first time
-learned/learning how to ride dirt bikes
-been thinking creatively with a few different things

I was married later in life and thought it would never happen. Suppose I was just waiting for the right man! Today my husband and I celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary; he makes me very happy. It's sweet, kind, supportive, loving, and everything else wonderful. I do my best to provide the same to him.

The wedding memories are not so pleasant as family member and friends all felt it was a sham marriage designed to keep my now husband in the country, despite the fact we'd known and dated each other (on and off) for two years and lived together for one. We lived in another state so no one knew him, except for one person who liked him! But, who ended up saying the most hurtful things of all. So while the memories of the actual ceremony and time surrounding it are not positive, the life I have led with this man has been one of the most positive and loving experiences of my life. In my heart I forgave my family and friends and slowly over the years, through their words, tone and actions, I believe they have realized they were wrong in their judgment. Of course, none of them have admitted that to me! LOL But I can tell.

So here's to love! May we all know that we have it, even in our darkest times, because we are truly all loved by someone somewhere.

some more positive for today!!!
-the multifamily house I have been working on for a long time, is looking really good...looks like we are finalizing things, and will be closed on...
-so hopefully things will continue going well with this, and it will happen

On this dreary rainy day in Illinois/Wisconsin (I love that I work & live in two states! I get the benefits of both.) I am basking in the glow of last night's lovely dinner out with my husband who also brought me roses.

I was delighted when he took the dinner conversation around to a house we both agreed I'd make an offer on. He is starting to take a real interest and becoming a participant in the real estate goings on instead of me just telling him things. Wonderful!

So all is very well today! And, I'm looking forward to hearing more about Marc's multi family home deal that keeps coming back and apparently may be ready to close. That is really interesting and exciting, Marc!

My friend that I have been texting back and forth about being positive, and asking positive questions to each other asked me to do this...

Write the things that could be considered bad in your life, and then write why you feel they are for the best...Also include good things and why you are thankful for them...
Here is an example of what I came up with...It was nice to see and really realize these things. And helped me to concentrate on turning the bad into good...
I will stick with Real Estate which is one of my things I wrote down since this is real estate...I also wrote about losing a "best" friend cause going in different directions, about having to move back home, hanging with a couple good friends rather than hanging with a bunch of so called friends...Anyways...

-Taking risks with real estate could be considered bad
-lots of people look at the real estate market, and the economy and think that getting into real estate is the worst thing to get into right now...
-in actuality, it is the best time to get into this cause prices are LOW, and interest rates are low...and when market goes back up, and you sell off what you bought, TONS of money can be made...
-I am thankful for this cause I have so many thing that I want to do, and I know for a fact if I continue doing the same thing I was before this, I will never be able to get to where I want to be...Money wise or emotionally...I would be totally drained...I need to feel like thing are going in the right direction

So if you get a chance, maybe do this...Not necessarily on here, but on a piece of paper for yourself...Who knows, maybe it will help you realize something you don't think about...

Marc, I love this exercise and think it would be helpful for anyone. I'm getting my piece of paper out right now!

alright, been a few days since I have been on...Hope if you did the exercise or whatever you call it that I mentioned above. If you did it(not just bs'd it)it made ya think...Cause when you think about that stuff, it brings more out of you...anyways

positives today...
-signed an offer today, that if accepted, could potentially end up making some good money
-going to start trying a different way to get assignment contract accepted
-always willing to adapt to anything that may be a problem, so in the future, it won't be
-I never give up, even when things aren't going my way
-multifamily deal went from a 98 percent chance of happening to a 99 percent chance of happening
-partner and I are starting to get moving again, cause we slowed down

Some good stuff...
-3 days off from work starting Friday
-checking out a house later that we checked out a while back, but resubmitting an offer since hasn't been sold
-have a list of homes we want offers to go in on
-have my binder that is very organized, and I will have some time today at work to go through that all
-if the multifamily goes through like it is looking, I may be able to have my sister move in there, so that would probably help her a lot
-my brother is very excited about starting football at his high school, so I am excited for him

I am glad I can make you smile...God knows we all can use that...As for the text I PROMISED you(even though you hate it)I will ABSOLUTELY be sending a text...If the multifamily closes, you are gunna get a text(and probably get all mad and annoyed), until you read its from me cause you will know what that means.

I love how you say "don't forget"...Your crazy...I have been so excited and so want to text ya...so, so, so close...

Anyways, hope everyones days are going well...My work day is over, so that is always a plus times 10...And hopefully supposed to be checking out a house today, that I think I mentioned earlier before work...Looking forward to that...

and I am praying the offer gets accepted on this house...I think it has a decent chance at getting accepted, so keeping my fingers crossed...

tdellaporta, Nancy D. Joe and Marc I must apologize for being away a few days. Lubertha and I have been busy trying to get things ready for our closing. Thank you all for sharing your positives about family successes, offers submitted, and the power of loving. I have learned a great lesson this week, no one can tell me now that you cannot purchase property with OPM (other people's money). Been there, done that and I could attest. I have also learned another lesson, when you think you have friends, you don't. I have now decided where my priority lies. I am not saying I will not help my friends, but I intend to look out first for those who have been there for myself and family. Work was long and hectic today, but great anyway. My shift unofficially moved from 9-5 to 9-7 p.m. today. Came home exhausted, but felt I contributed tremendously to assisting in changing lives. God has and continues to be good to me, I cannot help but thank him. My younger son began his first day in graduate school today, he has two classes. My older is on summer break and continues his graduate program on Tuesday of next week. They make me proud always. Marc, we are all ears waiting to hear, offers accepted. When that happens, maybe a sparkling drink, no alcohol for me at the computer to celebrate. What do you all think? Marc we are here to support you all the way. It is always a pleasure to post here. May God continue to bless us all bountifully.

Lovely post! Though sorry to hear there seem to be friends who now be known as former friends; however, we all change and some people come along and others feel more comfortable to stay in place. Our friends are there for as long as they are suppose to be in our lives, and sometimes that is only for a finite time.

My positive things for the day:
--It's a beautiful day!
--Today is the 5th anniversary of the day I met my husband!
--I learned VERY interesting things from my sister about a property I'm
getting ready to make an offer on. VERY interesting (positive for the deal
things --I posted that in my journal)

and thank you Sandra...It is SO nice having people in my corner that I don't even know to well...Granted, we have met a couple times(and hopefully many more to come) but still...I enjoy coming on and seeing people back me up...Its a beautiful thing...

-Nice outside, so top down on car feels great

Well you both are at the top of my positive thoughts for the day! Thank you so much for you good wishes on the anniversary of meeting my husband! I like to celebrate both! My 3rd wedding anniversary was only a week ago -- I'm not sure why I didn't plan to have us get married a week later on the anniversary of the day we met -- that would have been fun!

And thank you both for always such supportive words on my RE ventures. I feel confident I'll be able to make my offer next week on the property and I'm seeing in my mind's eye that it will be accepted!

Today's positive thoughts:
--Another gorgeous day!
--Having fun (and learning things) on this site today
--Going to a client meeting this morning that is resulting in renewed business
for the company.

-talked with someone at work who is selling there house, and explained about assignment contract, and she said yes...so having my agent put in the offer ASAP...updated my journal on this subject if ya wanna check it out...

-work went fairly well, even though started off terrible...i picked myself up quick knowing it is dumb to feel down...Gotta enjoy yourself regardless

-seeing a buddy I don't see often at all little later

-may or may not go to PA for the weekend depending on my real estate and what needs to be done...Cause my real estate is more important, and either way, I will have a good weekend...IM OFF FROM WORK!!!

As always I look forward to interacting with my DG family on a daily basis. Today was a great day. Worked like a dog, with no rest. I gladly looked forward to coming home to my family. Came through the door tired and sat on the bed for an hour to reconnect with reality away from the rat race. How good it felt to enjoy some peace and tranquility.

- Met my elder son at the entrance to the apartment building. He greeted me
with, hi mom and a kiss on the cheek. That made my day or should I say
evening.
- Thanked God for all his blessings and for bringing me home safely.
- Spoke to my REI partner, strategizing on our next move.
- Enquired of each other (my sons and myself), as we usually do, how the day
was spent.
- Called my mom to make sure everything was okay with her, call went into
machine.

All in all, it was a good day.

Positives for the day...

-i do have a 3 day weekend, starting today...Back to work Monday, but time and half...Works for me

-talked with another girl at work, told her we put an offer in on her house, and she just wants to dump it cause to much stuff going on for her...so basically 2 people/2 offers accepted...thats def a positive

-I have decided to go to PA, but taking care of my real estate before I go

-was able to sleep in today, which wasn't even that much...grrr

-feeling good today

-nice day, but hot in the sun...but much better than rainy

-this forum keeps going that I started, so that is awesome

I am feeling great about Marc's great RE news!!! That puts me in a terrific mood!

Nancy, our hats are indeed off for Marc's positives this weekend. The glory is all his in the successful acceptance of his two offers. Taking the back burner, I will like to express congratulations to Marc on a job well done. He is determined, persistent, and never gives up. Success is yours, Marc. Now lets see 3, 4, 5, 6....... Hi, I haven't posted here yet but just gotta say this is an excellent idea. Positive thoughts attract more positive thoughts. Positive thought creates positive change and that equalls more successes. This is a great way to keep people positively charged through all the tough times and challenges that lie ahead. Keep it up! Good on'ya Marc for getting this snowball rollin!

Well Greg, it is your turn now. The trick here is to relate enough positives, to encourage each other to act. What are your goals for real estate investing, the time-line, strategies you intend to use and your plan of action. You have enough support on the DG site that will give the tools to do the trade, are you ready and willing? We have the ability to do anything we put our minds too. May God continue to give us the courage, support, knowledge and opportunity to make millions.

- I did a total overhaul of my bedroom, tonight I will sleep like a queen.
- Did not lift a spoon to cook today, my nephew call and invited us for supper.

Positives for my day...

-Good weekend...Good friends...Good times

-Got home from a Party weekend in PA 45 minutes till work...enough time to get showered and dressed and to work...The Positive of that - I slept an hour on way home, so atleast got some sleep...

-work is over, and I am going to be able to crash in a little bit

-one of the offers I said would DEF get accepted - was

-the other offer, the agent on there side is not keen on investors, but the girl at work said she is fine with everything, and will get her agent to calm down cause she is all nervous and all that, so - that will be accepted

-getting the comps on the first offer that got accepted, and starting to advertise tomorrow...might as well before the contract is signed because I know it will get signed...Nothing wrong with a head jump...
