that was cool thanks alot. i used to drive an eighteen wheeler all across this great country of ours and i will always say the best sleep ive ever had was in that vibrating truck with the engine idling. i loved living in there. the reason i slept so well was because the heat and air condition controls and the remote for the tv are right next to you so you never have to get out of bed when its cold or too warm etc!!!!!!... AWESOME I LOVED IT !!!!!!!!!!!
All these types of people (and many others) spend so much time in these vehicles, they have an emotional bond to them. Making them into homes will be a perfect fit for many of them! For those that can't commit to living in a plane or train (large family, wife says "NO", etc.) they can also be converted into VERY cool museum-type attractions for tourists to check out year-round.
As our culture starts to practice "green" living, not just preach it, you will see many structures like this start to pop up. The market and the laws will clearly have to catch up to bring these type of "structures" into the mix but... You can certainly expect to see many more of these in the future. I think we're seeing the birth of a new, not necessarily market, but certainly a niche in real estate. Expect to be able to invest in these type of opportunities in the near future.

that is what I was thinking, that we should recycle and maybe this will become more of the norm and be right next to a new home. What diversity. Okay, maybe everyone doesn't want to live next to a 737, and you might have to keep the kids from visiting the strange man who lives alone, or something like that.

Just how many old airplanes are available for purchase? Most are kept in bone yards and sold for spare parts. Did the guy mention what it cost him to purchase and have the plane moved to his site?? Might be MORE that an entry level conventional home.
Oh well, got to go out and look at a couple of properties and make offers.
