Inspection needed?

Hey DG fam quick question. Is a final inspection needed before you rent out a property you rehabbed? I only got an inspection before I purchased, but now I'm ready for a renter and i'm not sure if I need to get a final inspection. PLEASE HELP!!!

Are you talking about having an inspector come inspect the home? If so NO you do not. Please clarify

Yes. I'm talking of a professional inspector to inspect the house just like the inspection you do before you commit to purchase.

Yes, i'm talking about a home inspection. I just wasn't sure if it was necessary to get one before you rent it out to make sure it passes all necessary inspections to be considered liveable.

Call up the city's code officer and ask if it's necessary.

Yes!!

When you bought the property the inspection was to show you what needs to be done before you can rent or sell. All homes need a U&O defore anyone can live there.

That meens Use and Occupy.

So you can Use and You can Occupy the property.

Most Townships will not let you even put in any items as far as furniture before you receive a U&O.
