Finding Time!!!!

I just went through this myself, I needed to allow more family time. You need to carve out some time every week. Give something up, your lunch hour, travel time to work, TV, bowling league, etc....

I just finished school and have to wait till I receive my license to apply for any jobs. So I have all the time in the world so to speak.

But I have a one year old and I live with my mom. Any way suggestions?

I already use the baby's nap time to cram in as much as I can. But since my mom is a day sleeper I can't really use her to help or let the baby make to much nose.

Help please with ideas!!!!

You could be slammed at work, phone ringing, deadlines approaching, boss in your ear (nice term - lol) when you get a call that your loved one has been in an accident, or your kids sick at school.....etc. I bet you anything, you just MADE TIME for what's important. Probably the papers hadn't hit the floor before you were out the door. But most don't put that kind of thought process to REI. It's a hobby, it's a wish, it's a well I'll get to it after this show is off or tomorrow, etc.

We can't ever fully focus on Plan A, if we're keeping a Plan B

If someone is 'dreading' doing what they need to do, then I'd say evaluate if this is really what they want to do. If yes, then in an immediate way they need to make some re-associations in their minds. Of what they determine as pleasurable and what is painful. What we enjoy we do more of, what we don't we simply shy away from/avoid. HAVE FUN with your business. It's not meant to be a life sentence. lol But to provide a life style!

Until the pain of NOT doing it become greater than the pain of JUST DOING IT, unfortunately that's life still stuck in the comfort zone. Which equals the no growth zone.

In the same way a bodybuilder every single day pushes against enormous amount of resistance to develop and build muscles; use our challenges and problems (they are the resistance) we must push through to sculpt and develop a strong character.

Identify what is important within YOUR family, what you WANT to accomplish, what your WILLING to press PAUSE ON (I say press pause, because when most say 'give up' they automatically associate pain) but press pause on temporarily to be able to accomplish what it is you SAY you want. If married then identify roles, be each other's help mate. Play to each other strengths.

When your WHY is determined, you just figure about the rest.

We MUST stop majoring in minor things!

I know that things are easier said than done. I also know that everyone has life going on around them. This makes it really hard to change when we are in a funk. I had five children of my own and here are some things that we have done to provide some time to get things done.
If you live at home with Mom, ask her if she could watch your child for a couple of hrs. a day and explain what you are doing to get you back on your feet.
With other friends who have children, barter a couple of days that they can watch your child and another day you watch their child. As I mentioned before some days you will have time and other days you may not have any, due to children performances or other events. Finding 15 minutes here and there will go a long way to getting you to your goals.
Children are great, so don’t miss making time for them, but if you can make this business work now while they are young, you will have much more time and money to spend with them.

You must take care of what is at hand, but if you are creative, then you can find ways to spend time with family and also make time for your business. This is why we must plan our schedule and there is going to be times when things will come up that we cannot control, but for the most part our family will understand and this is how we can educate them and helping them to know we are building this business so we can spend more time with them in the future. I have my 14 & 16 yr olds do my classified ads for me and this helps me a lot and helps them to appreciate what I am doing.

Balance between everything else we have going on in our lives and our real estate business is a very fine line. I always chuckle when someone tells me they just don’t have the time to work this business, yet they always can tell me who is on “Dancing with the stars” or what happened last night on some of the “Talent” shows. These shows are not essential, yet we find plenty of time for them, but yet our RE Business could be our financial freedom, yet we cannot find the time to work our business.
Spend Time Wisely!!

if being successful and financially secure in REI is not worth the time and effort to you....next

it amazes me how drunks and drug addicts ALWAYS find time and money or a way to get what they want...do you think its because "they surround themselves with like minded people"? hint hint

whats YOUR excuse?

This is a business and needs to be taken seriously and treated like a business. Your business has to be a priority and given the respect that it deserves in order to successful. You find and/or make the time for the things that you want. If you really want to succeed in real estate....you'll MAKE the time and PRIORITIZE your days and weeks to make it happen.

If it's important to you...you will be successful!
