What type of deals are you trying to do? for example I do assignment deals and they work pretty fine.

Yes I too am working on assignment. as of right now im looking for deals on my own, i had to stop working with 3 agents. they would say one thing in the begining then not want to follow thru. so now im looking for another agent but still calling for rent sign, courthouse docs, ect

Assignments are what I'm interested in doing as well. I really just don't know where to start. I need someone to mentor me, maybe show me through my first deal. I have attended some investors meetings just to get a feel of what goes on and listen to the people who are actually making it happen. The meeting really excited me.So for now I'm looking for some advice as to where to actually start. Building a buyers list doesn't seem to be so simple.

Craigslist and bandit signs worked the best for me. I spent a good 2 weeks posting on CL once in the a.m. then again in the p.m. Even to take one step furture learn the public rec system at to counthouse of the area you are targeting.
