Ok, I did it...I am on my way. What did I do? Well, I was driving around and saw a bandit sign saying 'We Buy Houses'. Got home and without hesitating I called the number, all the while not a clue as to what to say.
So I winged it and the person answered name was 'Rob' and was very pleasant and turns out he started a few months ago so I was happy about that since I am new too.
I told him that I would like to know if he knew someone I could partner with to get my feet wet and we exchanged numbers and agreed to meet for lunch.
Btw, I am only halfway done reading Dean's book Profit from Real Estate Right Now.
So, I am on my way...yay!

Called and left msg and my phone number;
Received a call back from M** within 15 min and their criteria is: remodeling style, rental apartment, duplex-triplex, broward county, $100,000 or less
So here I go...
