Local Networking and Discussion

Hi All

I am networking with an established buyer/investor who invited me to a real estate investment group meeting. The investor group is DIGonline (Diversified Investors Group)and meets the last Thursday of every month (this month's meeting date is 2/24 at 6:30PM). It is being held at Holiday Inn in Fort Washington, PA. It would be great to meet other Dean's disciples or students here.

Hi all, I'm new to the game, but very excited to start playing. I've read 2 of Dean's books and working on his 3rd. I'm curious if there is anyone in the DG family that invests in the St. Louis area. I met several people through the REI group, however, I really like the support that the DG family provides! I like how Dean showed us how to determine the market trend of your area of interest and I'm curious as to other opinions about this area. (REI group showed a lack of concern for local trends)
I currently do not have much money to invest, so my short-term strategy is to raise capital with assignments, lease-options, fix and flip, and even bird-dogging. My long-term strategy involves using that money to invest in rental units that provide cash flow.

I literally arrived in Millville, NJ yesterday.

Last night I ordered Dean's new book along with a few of the extras. I'm really pumped and chomping at the bit to get started.

My story is that I got hit by a car on 12/30/10. Healing slowly but surely. I am collecting Disability for the next 5 months or until I return to work. I'm on FMLA until early April or until I return to work.

I have nothing but time at the moment and I do have a bit of cash coming in. I also own 42 acres of raw land in Maine, with about 20% equity in it.

I'm happy to Network though and pool time, resources, research and whatever else we can find.

My name is Michelle, and I am located in Texas. I learned of Dean a few months ago, and have been reading the three books I received, as well as visiting this site daily since I became a member.

My post is actually two part. I want to inform others here of my virtual birddog service I am setting up, and the second part is to get feedback on just how I should structure this service.

We are looking for an out of state Real Estate Agent, and would appreciate any tips that you may be willing to offer as to finding a great agent!
We are also interested in any tips you would lend on how best to go about building a buyers list for assignment strategies.

Our Story:

We are three brothers (23, 25 & 27 yrs) who are young, ambitious entrepreneurs looking to make it in Real Estate.
Over the last few years we have been through some trying times and continue to battle adversity, myself a cancer scare and my younger brother with a crohns disease diagnosis.
In-spite of this we have come through the worst and are hopeful to put that chapter behind us and start a new chapter of success and prosperity in our lives.

Hello, need some help. I can not seem to find a REI club in the Piedmont Triad area of NC. Their is one in Charlotte, but that is 1.5 hours away. Does anybody no of one. Thanks

I have a buyer in Chicago; he is already preapproved for 125K mortgage loan. He is looking for a Townhome or a condo depending upon cost, in Chicago or Chicago's Northwestern Suburbs. He is looking for a move-in ready property, and need to move by March 1, 2011. I will just charge the referral fee of $300 to the Seller.
