Marketing to Buyers and Sellers

How many times should I market?

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to get more feedback on this, because I've heard different opinions. If you send a letter to an owner of a property, how many times should you try to contact them? I've heard 6 times because you have to kind of "tug their arm" and I've heard 1 time, because if they don't get back to you don't waste your time. If the former, I'll be declaring bankruptcy within two months just from the postage! Any thoughts are appreciated!

How To Create The Ultimate Business Card(s)
by Jason Hanson

How much thought do you really put into the creation of your business cards? I'll admit when I first started in this business I didn't know diddly squat about marketing and I created boring business cards like everyone else. I had my company name, phone, address, email and website--that was it.

Looking for a business partner

Hi, my name is Felicia. I am trying to get started by purchasing some real estate but am having trouble with financing. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in becoming a partner and helping me out. My credit is a bit shaky so I am looking for someone who can get financing and I will do the leg work finding the properties and we can split the profit after sale. I will only need help for a couple of purchases so that I can gain some capital. If it works out well, I would not mind keeping a partner so that two people profit rather than one. I in return if ever anyone needs help once I am in a position to be of help will have no problem jumping on board and helping them to the best of my ability.

Building A Buyers List

Hello New DG family,

We are new to this site but purchased Dean's materials and book in May 2010. We are working on building our buyers list but wondered if anyone in the family could help us. We recently attempted to go to a real estate auction just to network with some buyers and possibly add someone to our buyers list. We found that we could not get into the auction without having a huge cash amount or cash bonds. Did we go to the wrong type of auction? Is this typical for auctions even if your not bidding? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to build a list?
