My mentor, when I was 25 years old, dropped a phrase on me that changed my life forever when he said, "profits are better than wages. Wages will make you a living, profits can make you a fortune." You know it is a bit difficult to get rich on wages, but anybody can get rich on profits. Profits change your whole attitude, even if you start part-time. Whether it's part-time on your entrepreneurial business, network marketing company or service business.

It's up to you
July 25th, 2012 | posted by scarlsonOf all the things that can have an effect on your future, I believe personal growth is the greatest. We can talk about sales growth, profit growth, asset growth, but all of this probably will not happen without personal growth. It’s really the open door to it all. In fact I’d like to have you memorize a most important phrase. Here it is, “The major key to your better future is YOU.”
Let me repeat that. “The major key to your better future is YOU.” Put that someplace you can see it everyday, in the bathroom, in the kitchen, at the office, anywhere where you can see it everyday. The major key to your better future is YOU. Try to remember that every day you live and think about it. The major key is YOU.

30 Days to Real Estate Cash
July 14th, 2012 | posted by LonestarGumbyHey DG_Admin, Coaches, or staff,
We really need a Forum topic under the category of Dean's books for his latest book, '30 Days to Real Estate Cash'.
Certainly I do not have the authority to create that Forum topic under the correct "Dean's Books" category heading, and we (the DG community) really do need the proper Forum topic category for discussions related to his book.
Can you please create one for all of us? Thank you.

Thinking Like A Winner
July 6th, 2012 | posted by scarlsonBy: Brian Tracy
After studying the research done in cognitive psychology over the last 25 years, I've come to a simple conclusion: The degree to which you feel in control of your life will largely determine your level of mental well-being, your peace of mind, your happiness and the quality of your interactions with people. Cognitive psychologists call this a sense of control. It is the foundation of happiness and high achievement. And the only thing in the world over which you have complete control is the content of your conscious mind. If you decide to exert that control and keep your mind on what you want, even when you are surrounded by difficult circumstances, your future potential will be unlimited.
Think Like a Winner

I am sure that you have met people who play at casinos or play the lottery and constantly utter: "I never win anything, I always lose". If we look at some of the basic precepts of attracting abundance, we know that this type of thinking is faulty.
Winning isn't only about winning at casinos or winning lotteries. Winning happens in all parts of our lives. From relationships, to health, to employment and money--we attract abundance in all of these areas. I use the image of winning a jackpot because this is something that we can visualize relatively easily. Even if playing in casinos is not your thing--I mention it for illustrative purposes.
Adjust Your Sails
June 9th, 2012 | posted by scarlsonYou remember the story about the woman who shook her son awake in the morning. "Get up and get ready for school," she urged. "You're going to be late!"
"Ah, Mom," he pleaded "I don't want to go to school. The kids don't like me; the teachers are against me; even the custodian hates me. Give me three good reasons to go."
"All right," she agreed. "It's 6:30. You're 45 years old. And you're the principal!"
Every day we climb from bed, we decide how to face the day. Will we dread it or will we anticipate it? Will we resist it or will we welcome it?

Work on being Discipline
May 18th, 2012 | posted by scarlsonThe first discipline is creating a schedule. That schedule should encompass your whole life. Your personal life must be factored in to create balance. There are far too many people sacrifice their family to achieve a production goal or certain amount of money earned. When they finally reach their goal, they have no one to share it with or they realize what little importance that goal has compared to their family.
Made Calls today!
May 9th, 2012 | posted by ready4successWe got on the phone and made some calls and well the real estate agent said that 140k to 190k is where the money is being made to buy, flip, and sell. We asked for the listings of As-Is properties, price reduction and vacant properties as well and she sent them. We sent another e-mail for the 90 day listings and hopefully we get that. Confused on how to know which houses on the listing is price reduction, vacant, or as-is sold it doesn't give that information. What are some suggestions on what to do next??
