I don't know who Vaughan is but those articles that you are reading a 99% likely to be written by his marketers to attract sales. One form of marketing on the internet is called Article marketing. You write multiple article about certain topics and then publish them to hundreds of site. Suddenly they have thousands of backlinks to their site on that topic. You do a search and the search engines find these article because of relativity. It is a very common tactic for individuals to attempt to discredit their competition and make it look like they are being recommended instead.

what is your success rate to date?

I wish you the best and I wouldn't wait any longer. I know because I've been there. I have been doing this at a snails pace but no longer. I've been told many times to just do something, anything, everyday. Some days you will be able to do more than others.

Follow the 'system' it works; follow faith as 'faith without action is dead'

If you need to know my credentials here it is briefly: 4 deals, 3 completed, 1 to close end of month but all is in place for closing. 2 have been assignment deals, 1 bird dogging or finder's fee deal, and 1 through a bank, no money out of my pocket that I'm currently screening for tenant to rent out with $200+ cash flow. Don't really bother reading my journal some of it is pathetic, haha.

Any of the inner circle member's would be great resources. Try to go through Dean's blogs there is a ton in each of those 4-5 mins videos.

Lastly I have been to the Edge and met Dean; he is the real thing. He's very genuine, kind hearted, loves everyone, and wants all of his students to succeed.

I highly recommend finding an investor's group in your area and even if it's not close make the effort to attend, great way to network, free information, and another way to build buyer's list. I think this is from Dean:

I feel your story, been there done that!
Motivation is the key to transformation! You can have every program and book out there but unless you get up and do something with your gained knowledge you are wasting your time and money.

I remember when I started wholesaling 3 years ago I was in foreclosure, my power was being shut off and I was falling deeper every day. I purchased Dean's book and decided nothing was going to stop me from obtaining freedom from the financial prison I was in. I took action and here I am 3 years later have done over 100 wholesale deals and I am financially free.

It's all in the ACTION!

They are the real deal. Carol, your stories are so inspiring! Dean is not a scam ~ the people who say he is are jealous they may not have the success Dean has. I know Dean isn't pushy like other gurus are, and he cares by giving us as much free info as he can, to help us think a little different in our lives.

Find a REI group in your area to network with... I know of an investor in Bergen County that invests all over in your area Peak Properties his name is Glen you might want to check him out and put him on your list of buyers...

You're in a good market for this

You're a hop, skip and jump from Newark, Paterson, Jersey City and East Orange, which are good NJ markets to get started and where you can find good deals.

With what you've been through, nothing should bother you or prevent you from doing what you have to do. You'll be fine in the end.

there are so many people here who have taken action after reading Dean's books and/or signing up for his classes (including myself)who would have never known how to do without him, and have succeeded.
Taking action takes effort, but unless you go out there and put into practice what you read, nothing is going to happen, no matter how many times you read the books.
Don't worry about making mistakes- we all do, and we learn from them! Start a journal here, it will help you stay focused on your goal, and keep you accountable for taking action every day.
