OfflineDG Family, It's been way too long since I made a post. It's been a busy year, and I have much exciting to report!
I joined the Success Academy in June 2009. Determined to close my 5 deals and get my tuition back. Guess what? I did it.
Guess what? I got 100% of my tuition back. And Guess What????
Dean called me personally to say congratulations!!!!!!!
I'm not kidding. He was so wonderful to take the time to talk to me. And he is as kind and genuine as you would think. THANK YOU DEAN!
Further, I have just enrolled in Dean's Insider Edge training coming to Seattle next week. And I'm studying Profit Strategies from Tax Liens, also under Dean's mighty umbrella.
I'm taking it to the next level!
And of course, I've entered the "Send Me Away Dean" contest. (Vote for me pretty pretty pleeeeze)
Be encouraged! This all does work. But, its not magic, you've got to make the effort, study, and then plunge in!

Hello there, I joined about the same time as you did and i have been extremely busy working and going to school to earn Associate Degree and studying investing. I just want to say congratulations and I would bet that was a very pleasant and enjoyable conversation you had with Dean. I can not conceive of him being any different than what we see in his videos. Good luck with your future investing deals. Keep up the good work.

we joined about the same time,and still haven't done are first deal yet.That is our own fault though,working 50-60 hrs a week,but since we joined the SFL we have a bomb fire under us and things are moving forward.Are goal is 3 deals before the end of the year and we will do what ever it takes to make that happen.
I do have a question though i thought you had to do the 5 deals in one year?

You are all so kind. When you think of completing 5 deals for the Success Academy, keep in mind that if you buy a house under market value, then sell it for a profit or rent it with positive cash flow, that is two deals! It's not that hard to complete in 12 months.

Congratulations! That's awesome that you did your 5 deals, got your money back, and a call from Dean. I bet that was a thrill. I also received a 100% tution refund after completing my 5th deal upon joining the Success Academy. Perhaps if the nay sayers see this forum they'll realize that Dean is the real deal and keeps his promises.

I joined the Academy last month and wanted to back out for various reasons. This just encourages me to keep on keeping on and doing the steps and I know it will work. It's a no brainer, isn't it??

Wow!!! I can't believe it! Congrats!!! I also joined the Success Academy around July of 2009 and I thought that since a whole year past that it was too late for me to get a refund(right?) since I'm still struggling to get my first deal. I think I started on the wrong foot when I got into short sales at first when I should be concentrating on the market changes. Here in California it's hard to find that buyer because once I have a buyer in place then I can get it funded either by a hard money lender or a private lender. But I will continue to not give on this!

Arn, if I were you I would call the Success Academy (if you are not in current contact). I know they will continue to work with you until you have closed at least one or two deals. My understanding is that the 5 deals to get the refund do have to be completed in 12 months, but have the conversation. Just getting their help and closing a deal equals money, right? Ya, short sales take a long time. Try REO's perhaps.
In terms of my financing, I am in the fortunate position of having a HELOC I can use. I also got a loan when I purchased a home at an auction held by REDC (www.auction.com)
