OfflineAs I travel the country and work with many students there is one question that comes up more than any other question. That question is "What is the secret sauce to become sucessful with real estate investing?"
Well, if I tell you will it still be a secret? Okay, okay here it is. I believe the secret sauce to becoming successful in real estate is as follows:
1. EFFORT - Be true to yourself that you will put forth an effort to succeed by taking action each day. reviewing deals, finding buyers and making offers.
2. SYSTEMS & ORGANIZATIONS - Create a system and be organized with everything you do. This takes all the guess work out of it. As Nike often says...."Just do it!"
3. PLANNING - Have a plan and work your plan. Get a calendar and write out and plan your daily activities. This will give you a mesaeuring stick of how successful you are at achieveing your daily tasks toward success.
So many people want to become successful but are they giving the 100% effort they need to be? Are they doing things to create deals or just being busy with busy work? Each task you do each day should be helping you do one of two things: finding deals or finding buyers.
If you are serious about this business you need to have your gameplan each and everyday of what you are going to do today to be better, farther ahead than the previous day.
I see so many people that want success but are unwilling to take action. Are you unwilling or unable? There is a big difference. Do what you have to do today to make it happen. Tomorrow you will be closer than you think. You can do it and the only one holding you back might be yourself. Today is a new day, make it happen! Believe and Achieve!

i've been guilty of being busy without being productive.
last night i told my wife if i'm going to be a real estate investor i need to focus on real estate investing. i'm selling my equipment and taking that money to pay our bills ahead so i can do real estate full time instead of a hobby that i want to move into full time someday. be sure to leave me some time at next years edge to discuss our victories and successes in life.

Nike does make great shirts that can motivate. You may want to where that shirt at least once a week. Keeping yourself motivated and moving forward is key. Don't give up to frustration because the next deal is usually within your reach. Believe and Achieve!

If you are looking at making cash fast in real estate say with assignments or double closings, building that buyer's list and finding great deals are the key. If you have a good selection of both the money will follow. Believe and Achieve!

Thanks for the post Joe! I too, am guilty of sometimes being busy working and not productive. Of the things you mentioned, I struggle most with putting systems in place. I consider myself very organized, but lack on the systems. Any suggestions?? Thanks!
