OfflineAfter reading many post about knowing when would be the right time to quit your daytime job and become a full time investor.... I decided that there would never be a wrong time.... In 8 hours I will officially be a full time investor ! If you have faith in yourself.... have had some success to back your action plan up and have been debating about whether you can do it or not.... you can either wait until someone talks you out of it... or you can go for it. IM going for it! Whether I make a ton of money... or become a flop.... I will be following a dream and will be doing something I really love to do.... Thats enough motivation for me to try! Darren

Congratulations! That is what I did. Quit a $100,000 job cold turkey to pursue REI full time. Best decision I ever made. I could not really make this a real business doing it part time. I would have gotten part time results! It was a little scary for the first 6 months I have to admit.
Exciting stuff! Now you can concentrate on REI 100%. Get you offer machine up and running!

I had every intention of working until I got closer to 70. All the while I was watching the economy and business indicators. Watching and listening and then I knew it was time and I was in charge. I was the one making the decision and that equals an entrepreneur in action. Making the decision and taking action to protect myself and go after what I want in life. Things fell in place to a point. Nothing is ever just black and white and different for everyone. Nothing is written in stone that things have to be done just one way. I felt that I had a foundation in place to build on. The rest is faith based. I do what I can and what I need to do and look to God's favor for the rest.
I run a very tight ship and meet up with new obstacles and challenges all the time but that is just the way it is. It makes life interesting. Go after what you want and strategically deal with one thing at a time. Do something every day to get you closer to your goals

Hey man, that is super and a real gut-check! All the best moving forward with your decision to pursue this REI full time. My goal is to follow in your footsteps (or should I say DG's??) by the end of the year.
After having read, studied, and played CashFlow many times, I have found it is much easier to get out of the rat race when you have a lower income profession. That is the exact position I find myself in since getting caught up all of that mess from AIG (and NO, I was not one of the higher paid middle managers in the derivatives department which was to blame for the fall of AIG; thanks for asking!! {jk}). I was simply a lowly Insurance Agent working with Fortune 500 executives.
So congratulations on your decision Darren; happy returns, and continued success.
