You can go to the court house and find probate records. Some counties have them on line but where I live, you have to go in person. Anyone in the probate department can tell you how to find names. Hope this helps.

Independent Administration of Estates Act is for estates based on CA probate law and also when the PR is confirmed by the court.

Texas also and a few other states. Laws vary from state to state and one should research the probate laws in their particular state and proceed accordingly. Thanks for pointing that out tho, it's sure to help someone. Just posted what I use in California, perhaps someone might find a part of the letter I use to improve their letter.
