I left a good executive job at the end of May and, after floundering about a bit trying to decide what I wanted to do when I grew up, I realized that I was finished with the corporate world so I decided to "retire" and do no more than temp jobs at the least, and my own company at the most.
A friend, who attended this year's Edge event and paid the 12k wanted me to review the materials he received, which I did. I immediately recognized marketing genius and the incredible possibilities contained in those materials. Dean walks the walk, not just talks the talk.
I had originally got interested in REI in the mid-'80's but had no idea how to proceed. I attended a seminar by DdD and purchased his materials, attended a few auctions, but I had no confidence or direction.
My brother, a professional sales executive, had set up and was in charge of the sales room of another '80's RE "guru". I purchased his primary book and realized this was a dead program. Then the corporate world grabbed and possessed me.
