I’m a 48 year old bookkeeper I have worked in the oil field for the last 15 years.
My profile is also on LinkedIn including resume and references.
I have raised 3 kids by myself they are now all in there twenties. I have been unemployed since July and really want to do something that can change my life and give my family a better future. I do not want to just continue doing bookkeeping for others chained to a desk 10 hrs a day any more.

Interests: 
Decorating, reading novels, movies, swimming, sailing, deep sea fishing, and hunting, camping anything that lets me spend time with the kiddos after work.Going to church together when we all can.

Just gettin started in the DG family.....although I have been a "lurker" for about 4 years.....and this is one of my FIRST actual postings!

I am writing because I have ALWAYS looked for serious DG members in Texas who are "working the program" and have not really found any. When I saw that you were from Texas, I stopped to read your bio.

I have attended several of the intro courses Dean has offered in my area (Waco) and have always come away with useful/valuable information, but have not sensed a tie-in to our communities in Texas.

I haven't really done anything specifically/officially with DG, nor have I bought any of the courses offered......but, I have followed faithfully his blogs and read his books.

I know he is not the ONLY answer to success in real estate, but I do think he effective reads the trends very well and does extensive research. Now that he is looking for regional managers, it tells me that he is ready to broaden his structure and grow his company....it makes perfect sense.....for someone who understands first-hand and has been involved POSITIVELY in real estate for so many years. If it is working.....help it grow.

So, Beverly, I was just wanting to let you know that I also think Texas is a GREAT opportunity state for the "upswing" phase that DG has been talking about....problem is, it is also unique unto itself when it comes to dealing with so many areas of real estate.

I would love to hear more about your DG experience there and possibly work with you to get a stronger DG support structure here in TEXAS!!
