I recently drove by 2 properties that are abandoned in my area. How can I find out who the current owners are so I can contact them?

Perhaps the quickest and easiest way to find the owner would be to go to the county website and see who is listed. A phone number may not be provided, but an address may be given.
Good luck.

Check the county tax records free at their Web site. Whomever is paying the taxes is the owner. Reference the property by address. For instance, in where I live it's the Potter-Randall Appraisal District. You can link to the tax assessors page from the county home page where you live.
