It said, that confronting a hard task is bad enough, so why add to the load by Procrastinating? That just keeps it before you longer!

I feel the same way the above metioned individual stated.. So, today I was able to TAKE ACTION on finding a realtor! WOW,I mean I can't explain to you how it feels to just DO IT!.. I procrastinated Friday, and last night got my game plan together for today..
Were there OBSTICALES?, OH YEAH, but I pushed through them...BOY am I glad I did, and got TWO agents, one has already sent listings, and one will send some in the morning..lol.. The last guy was the best... and to think, I almost didnt make that LAST call to that Century 21 office..LOL..
DG FAM please take action, and not only 'KILL THAT VILLIAN', but also DON'T PROCRASITNATE! JUST DO IT!

What a good testimony of what to do. I think we all face procrastination from time to time. We put things off because we think it isn't the "fun" part of the business. I love how you say it just keeps it around longer because you are absolutley right. Why not just do it right now and move on to other things. Thanks so much for you post. I'm definitely going to work on this!

Hey cstrickland glad you saw the post and was helped...I think that's one of the 'BIG,' issues that holds alot of people back from succeeding in life, myself included. So, along with killing that villan, we must work on PROCRASTINATION...
One of the biggest 'ENEMIES,' behind procrastination is FEAR!..Hope many more see the post, appreciate it, and 'APPLY,' it in their lives so as to be more productive, in all areas of life!..

We're all guilty of this! Some more than others. I try to put all of the tasks I don't want to do in one day, just to get them out of the way for the week. That's Mondays and Wednesdays (if I didn't finish on Monday) for me. I hate Mondays, but the rest of the week is a breeze!

Yes sir, this is my main issue. Joined IE and it seems to of helped some but I still see myself sliding towards procrastination. I need to break this, have been like this most of my life. Glad you posted this, puts it back in the brain housing group. Later

With all the education on this site, books, and other programs Dean offers, it's really easy to use learning as a semi-productive way to procrastinate. Although it's necessary to learn, if you know enough, stop using learning as an excuse to procrastinate! If you don't know what you're doing, by all means, LEARN. But if you know enough, start taking action! Paralysis by over analysis is a real thing.
Heck, I always feel like I'm procrastinating by posting on this website! Like right now I could be doing something more productive, but I enjoy helping people.
One thing I absolutely hate is calling for rent ads, I'm sure others can relate. I found myself the other day calling banks on the day I was supposed to be calling for rent ads! Because I'm more comfortable talking to bankers than making cold calls to landlords. The good news is that I finally found a bank worth working with that day, so my procrastination was put to good use! The weird thing is that it was actually a bank I called before. They didn't qualify when I first called them, but now they do. So be sure to follow up on dead leads in the future!
You're going to hear the word NO a lot. So why not just try to get as many NO's as you can? Then you know a YES is right around the corner!

I was thinking the same thing....about posting on here...lol..but as long as my posts are helping other people,It's a good procrastination...lol..
I never used to be a procrastinator when it came to school. That is why the learning concept of this business isn't all that difficult for me to get caught up in. I am battling myself a lot lately with doubt if I can really do this business but I truly know this is something that will change my and my families life tremendously.
I procrastinated for 5 days to call real estate agents after I called 2 one morning and emailed one. I had a list of 8#'s to call and after calling my 1st one that told me I had to have a significant amount of capital because it is very competitive here in Sacramento and it put me to a halt.
I came to this site to help me regain my focus and it's starting to. Thanks you guys, you're all great!

I could not agree with you more, as you said, and I admit I have heard it before; "Paralysis by over analysis is a real thing". This is where I have put myself exactly, learning about rehabbs, hard money lenders, private money lenders, cash buyers, tax lien defaulted properties, etc. I do know enough, yet have not gone out there to get it all started. It is that time to go out and do it! At this moment, I am leaving the site until later today, to focus on setting up more marketing and putting out the bandit signs. I've got to do this!
That's what we're here for!..lol..
