OfflineIf anyone posted on this issue already, I clearly missed it. I was logging on to come to the DG website when I saw Richard Branson's name listed as #6 on the "Trending Now" section of the Yahoo webpage. I clicked on it and, to my astonishment, the headline read, "RICHARD BRANSON'S NECKER ISLAND ESTATE DESTROYED IN FIRE; FAMILY SURVIVES." I was devastated. I followed his career as far back as the '80's when Virgin Records came on the music scene. After Dean started talking about Richard and stating how such good friends they are, I knew I was in good company being a part of the DG family even that much more! On behalf of my family, and maybe even the DG family as well, our prayers go out to Sir Richard Branson and his entire family for their loss, even though it was all just "material loss", thank God! Still, treasured memories were all lost in the fire, including the great house itself. However, the most important treasures, the lives of everyone on the island that morning including family & friends, were all spared. They can rebuild the great house and establish new memories as they do so. Let's keep them all in our prayers and maybe do what we can for them.

my prayers go out to sir richard branson and his family and to dean i know how upset he must be. OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lord i've seen videos of dean playing ball on necker island with sir richard and many others.. so sorry to hear this buddy.

Yes, the recent news post is correct - everything you value is suddenly lost in a fire is a terrible feeling. Maybe I don't have any cash yet, but I can certainly wish well for Richard and his family from our DG Family. Is there anything we can do to help?

Although we dont know who Richard Branson is and havent followed him we pray for him and his family and anyone else on Dg that has had a devistating fire or anyother tragic event in their life. Amen

Praise God everyone got out. I was stunned to hear about it. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. I will be praying for the Branson family and anyone else that has had a fire. As I'm sure the DG family will be also.

My prayers go out to the Branson family.
On the day it happened and he said he was grateful that everyone got out ok. He said they will rebuild and quickly as his daughter is getting married there later this year. I think December and he plans to have a lot done and with some improvements. Thank God for Kate Winslet as she carried Sir Richards Mom out of the house. What a blessing that no one was hurt. Good things can still come along even when something bad happens. My thoughts and prayers are with them.
