Ask them about the deals they are doing and what areas and types of properties they're interested in.

as it is always a good idea to broaden one's approach to doing business. It is always possible to learn something, however small, that will improve your way of doing business. I still do that to this day and I've been involved with real estate since 1981.

I call them to see how quick they can close, how fast they respond and to find out what competition is out there.
Calling on other peoples bandit signs not only teaches you alot but also builds your network of connections. This is a networking business! Call and ask questions, listen to how they answer your questions, how they carry themselves over the phone. Listen to their voicemail greetings - is it professional? It is very good to know what the competition is (like Travisderod stated). Learn learn learn
