The bandit signs are working a little better now that we are done with the summer slack. But they just don't pull the calls they used to according to my partner.
He's just put out a fresh batch of signs, the same kind he has always put out for years. Up until about 9 months ago his signs pulled in 20 calls a week for the amount of signs he puts out. Now the same signs and same amount only bring in 7 calls a week at best. Whats the deal? Are people ignoring our signs or something? He's tried different color combination and slogans to no improvement.
Anyone have an idea? This still stumps me-

At a local REI meeting this topic came up. The local investors in our area have noticed a decline in phone calls from bandit signs too. Most of them come down quick and have to be replaced daily. Some seem to think that people are getting so used to seeing them now they ignore them - like we all do when we are 'over-advertised.' Maybe if you write something a little different and 'catchy' on the signs it would help. You and your partner probably already know this but just in case hand written signs get a better response. Best of luck to you with this.

I agree with Lea. I think everybody has become desensitized to them. There has to be a new idea that gets people's attention but I think the next great idea will have a larger front end cost. After all, you can only go so long with cheap ideas....because everybody is doing it.

Here in Lake Co Fla, the Co. does not allow signs, house for sale, or garage sale, etc. I put up a sign and got in my car and the city pulled up and tore it down and put it in their truck and drove away! We use them anyway, they don't stay up long. Waiting to hear a better idea!
use bumper stickers, magnetic car signs, etc
instead of the same old'we buy houses'- use 'foreclosure home MUST SELL'
'moving MUST SELL'
