Business Cards?

Business Cards?

Hi everyone,

I'm just curious what you all have on your business cards? I'm just about to get my first ever batch as a REI printed up and am wondering what should go on them. These are basically starting out cards that I can hand to people I meet at REI meetings and other places. I sort of envision them as a throw-back to the calling cards that were handed out in the olden days. Name, title, phone number, email address. Since I can't afford different ones to cover whatever hat I'm wearing at the time I meet someone I was thinking I'd keep it simple and straightforward.

Thanks for your input and suggestions. Hope you all have a terrific weekend.

Business cards

Cindy: if you have mircrosoft word on your computer you can buy blank business cards less than $4 for 100 cards and print them yourself. fast easy start, till you get rolling and needs hundreds. Also I went online, searched for "Free Business cards and found lots that will offer 200 free. You pay around $10 shipping for those "free" cards. other than as you listed to put on them a business name you like an know you will stick with. website address if you have one. Also something that catches there attention and lets them know whats special about you. Ex: Scott Housing & Rentals,LLC Quality Affordable Homes. Enjoy feeling like a bigshot with your business cards. I do! Layman T. Scott

You Won't Believe It!

We have an appointment TODAY with a REA and have NO business cards! Why? Well we can't afford them! Rather than leave it at that and wanting to look as professional as we possibly can I called our local UPS store and spoke with the owner. I had spoken to him over a month ago in regards to making our business cards and guess what!!?!!

He has the paper I wanted, in fact he ordered it just for us. I told him we have an appointment today and have no cards and cannot afford to buy an entire box right now. I asked him if he thought he could he make a few quickly? He said yes and it would only cost us .22 cents for a whole sheet which is 10 cards! He said he would have them ready for us ASAP!

They are going to be plain black and white for right now but this guy sounds like he is going to be CHEEP and easy to work with!

I just had to post about this because just by talking to someone we are saving money and getting our needs met quickly!

Go online

Hello,
I purchased my cards on line. Vistaprint. 250 just pay shipping it was less than $10.00. I went the slow shipping method but still had them pretty quick.
I have the name of the Biz, the worde REAL ESTATE INVESTMENTS, my name, phone #, address and email address.
I will use these cards for face to face meetings and will use the HOME made ones to post on boards. I.E. mini flyers.
Hope this helps,
Bob

One of the things I don't

One of the things I don't like about vistaprint free business cards are they scream cheap skate. On the card, there is a vista print promo ad that says something to the effects that "you can order 250 of these free cards by going to our website", I don't know about you but if I wanted to make an impression on someone that wants to sell their house I would not pass out one of those cards. I would rather not have any or for the same 10 bucks I can print out at least 200 fliers at Kinkos and you can do half page fliers that way you will end up with 400 fliers.

Business cards are your small billboards, don't go free unless there is a quality free card that makes no reference of free for all ads on them.

Ending up printing my own with Avery

I was in a time crunch so I ran to an office supply store, picked up a package of quality Avery cards, used their template, found some cards online that I liked that were free to duplicate, and printed up my cards.

Good for You

Just having something to pass out gives you that added sense of being truly in the game. And people will know how to contact you.

I quickly had a small batch made at Staples in less than an hour for my first REI meeting and it cost me less than $25. They may not be my final design, but they do the trick right now.

Best of luck networking!

Kristin
