Offlinenow that the space shuttle program is complete. The space coast has now become the ghost coast. Lots of opportunity to pick up housing in these counties as people will certainly need to sell. But with a current unemployment in these counties of 11%, who are you going to find as buyers?
Opportunity? YES. Randomly? NO.

Thats a lot of people being laid off at once. Unemployment benefits will keep them in food and power but wont pay their mortgages. I'm sure that within 6 months your going to have some desperate sellers if not sooner. However, Im sure there are plenty of people in that area that still have jobs and can buy these homes, if they could get qualified for a loan, the subject to or assignment of mortgage technique cud be used here. Anybody in that area want to do some deals with me?

They will be laying off 10,700 workers... this is happening all over the country...people need jobs and people need houses. You just wish you could do something to help everyone out of their situation. Opportunities in RE will be here for a while! Maybe Dean should go "Prime Time" with his infomercial so more people can learn from him. Just a thought Dean in case you're reading this! LOL

thank you for sharing this post with us; I don't think these news should surprise us that much... it kinda was obvious that it was coming... I do however, feel sorry for those people who may be losing their homes. If only enough investors can buy and do lease option for those people...
Borders? same thing, it's been closing its doors for at least a year now... Barnes & Noble is closing some of its stores too... many people shop online these days...

less spending from the Gov--- 'we the people' will save in the expense of these shuttle trips...unfortunatly the Gov will find something else to spend on, probably more

The problem people fail to realize is how much a part of the economy the govt is. If spending is cut, there is that much more of the economy that suffers. Its not like they are cutting waste, fraud, and abuse.
