Ok so at this point I have to go up. I placed ads in the local paper and will place on craig's list. I found a couple of what appeared to be abandoned properties, sent a handwritten post cards to the owners, and surprise of surprises I actually got a response on one of them. This person owns two (or more) properties and wants to meet early next week. Needless to say I'm excited as well as nervous to meet with him. Of course I will be reviewing all of the tools in the books that I have from Dean.

I went to city hall and checked on the properties. There is quite a bit going on with them. Back taxes, foreclosures pending. I'm going to talk with the success team before I meet with the owner next week. anyone with suggestions? At the moment I'm thinking several things, 1. My goal is to have rental properties, but I may need to do assign with these, or lease options. 2. This is my first anything in real estate and yes I'm nervous. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.

I can't beieve it!! These 2 properties have so much going on with them, pending foreclosures, as well as back taxes. I had set up an appointment to meet with the owner, only to find out that this person is less than honest. First he cancelled the appointment and wanted to set up for another time. However, during the conversation he tells me that he has tenants in one and is rehabing the other, but I could met with him sometime in the middle of next week. I drove by the properties again. They are still in the same conditon, with realtor locks on the door. The other has a utility sign on the door listing it as unhabitable. In the meantime my buyers list is getting stronger by the day. I'll keep looking. I'm reconsidering these 2 properties. I'm not sure what to do with someone who is this dishonest. I guess he didn't think anyone would actually check to see what was going on with the properties.

I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me

I'm nervous

No I haven't met the property owner yet, however I did go down to city hall and checked on the property. There is a lot going on with the property. I'll probably call the success team before I meet with them. It is set up for early next week.

Yes, call the success team

Yes, call the success team and get their advice. Good luck next week.

Sorry to hear you're working

Sorry to hear you're working with someone dishonest. I'm sure that's what many of us will come across onetime or another. It's always good to do alittle investigation. Is it worth it then to deal with them or just to move on? Everything we come across is a learning experience.

That's great you're building your buyers list. They'll be many other properties.

Moving on

I'm moving on. I'm already nervous enough trying to put the first one together. I know after the first one it will be easier. So from here it's upward and onward.
