We can tell you what we have done to get over obstacles but we can't do them for you. I don't know if you have read everyones jornals on this site or not but most have had obstacles to get over.

One thing you have going for you is God. You have used God bless you so I beleive you are a woman of God. I don't want to get to preachy but one Sunday in church the Paster spoke about (is God first in every part of your life). The Paster was saying put God first in your finances, make God first in every thing you do in you life.

I have always looked at these message boards for information really never thinking it necessary to comment for many reasons but this time I feel I should. You are not alone in how you feel. I have felt the same. It is hard to keep on track. It is hard to stay positive when it seems everything is going wrong. Daily bombardment of negative thoughts from many places compound what many may be going through. It is nice you have support at home and that here in this space you have others to pull you up at of that dark place. I too have had a run of what could be called bad luck, so I really feel for you. To give in and give up would not doubt really stink and all your effort would be wasted and I am sure you will feel worse doing that.

Just a couple of days ago I had "mini meltdown" after a deal I had going died. Reading these messages has made me feel more positve about what is to come and I hope the same happens for you. Times are tough I refuse to let them get the better of me. I know you will feel the same.

Hello Angie!!!! I've read your blogs about your bad luck and you wanting to give up. Just let me say this....DON'T YOU QUIT!!!!!!!! You see, I have had some really bad luck myself. I've had my car repossesed. Because of the repossession, I was forced to quit my job and I had to go on food stamps. Needless to say I have no money and my credit is bad!!!! Exactly one week after all this happened, my mother has a stroke. Needless to say I lost everything except my mother. Well she is doing better now but I never gave up!!!!!! I am still moving forward because this is how life is sometimes!!!!! Besides, nobody is gonna do anything for me but me!!!!!! I am still calling all of the local real estate investment clubs for memberships. Hopefully, I can find some cash buyers there so I can wholesale/assign properties to them. Like I said Angie, NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!! Nobody is gonna make your dreams happen but you!!!!!

It's important to have a positive mindset, but keep in mind that it isn't thinking positively that is going to bring you the enjoyment and success that you deserve. We all at some point or another, some more than others, think positively. More to that point, we all experience setbacks in our lives and go thru stressful times. It's what we do with those times and how we handle the "tough" times that either yield us success or failure. The most successful people in the world are the ones that have been down the most. The difference is in their resolve and how they interpret and receive those bad times; it's not how positively they think. You need to lose in order to win and until you realize that, success is going to always wait. None of us need a personal cheerleader to move to the next level. If you cannot do it for yourself and cannot see the reasons why you must have it, no one is going to do it for you. Real change will come when you get disturbed enough about your present situation and that change needs to come from within, not from the words of others. What we need is a stronger psychology. That, my friends, will bring the greatest success you will ever experience. Money, relationships, friends, family, business; all these things are what we want to be happy with, but the road to each of these areas is created by a strong psychology. Try to remember that stress will always be in your life, but stress doesn't have to control you. You might as well welcome the stress and turn it into an action trigger to make your life that much better. Otherwise you will have severe negative stress in your life.

All of us have our major down times, even the Lord and great men of the Bible did. Successful people today did and still have major problems. All the pep talks don't help, if you yourself don't believe it. Fight the thoughts, but then do something. Take that house, right up a contract with an "exit" clause, and just advertise the house. You will get calls!! You don't need all the classroom stuff, but if you can get it, that gives you more support and answers and help... Craigslist and others are free, even flyers. It will sell. Then do it again.
Everyone on here has troubles, several just never tell them. But in your life sounds like you have great friends and family. Last week even Dean talked about that in Set For Life. Say 3 positive things, then what was the big problem again, it takes away some of the pain and guess what, it works, I have done it for years.
Here is an example of a time I finally let go of the problem hope this helps you understand the mindset!
My horses were my life after the kids left. I had the fx pelvis from a horse accident, and back surg. Everyday for the past 15yrs, I was up at 4am cleaned barn and fed horses,alone, fed all the barn cats, then did the inside pets, then got ready for work. Many times having to stay late at work, (you do that a lot in the medical field). And when I got home, it took me 2 1/2hrs again to care for them. Somedays the pain in my back and legs and the pressure on my spinal cord was "horrid." I would cry and grumble while I fed the horses. The snows came and I had to shovel a path from the barn to the field to empty the wheelbarrow. And many times living in the middle of farm country, with no neighbors for 1 mile away when I needed help, I really sat down many times and cried, just exhausted. But I "forced" myself to go on. These were my family and the horses were all I had left. Both were in their 30s and one had arthritis but still ran like a 4 yr old.
I would get angry at the Lord because I wanted a reason to put them down because I could no longer care for them physically. Finally it all changed!
I realized the Lord heard me but I was praying wrong. I gave them back to Him. I decided to stop grumbling and think these are His horses and I am taking care of what he gave me. They were His and I loved being around them and watching them run across the open fields. Each time I hurt I praised the Lord, thanked Him for letting me have such awesome memories of years of riding through the state Forests, and the great time my family and I had what others would give to throw on the bridle, jump on the horse, ride across the field to a friends and go have lunch in the middle of a forest while your horse grazed next to you. In about 3 months after that mind set, my stronger horse went down. Don't know what happened. On May 1st 2008 she stood in the field whinning for me. I knew something was wrong. Her back legs wouldn't move..don;t know why. I took food and water to her, and later she came to the barn. 2days later, she went down, couldn't get her up. Pulled and pushed, with her head facing down the hill, I knew this could slowly kill her. I called several friends, no one was around. I went in the house for 15 mins and again prayed and told the Lord, please help her, don't let her die like this, she is your horse and I am doing my best, I put her in your hands and help me. Went outside and she was standing up.
By May 7th, Wis Equine came out and we put her to sleep. That morning that she had went down again and I had been giving pain shots every 12 hrs for days to keep her moving. That morning I knelt down by her, she couldn't even lift her head. I told her I loved her and gave her a kiss and stroked her neck. Tara my other horse came over and stood next to me. Tara had knee problems and at times would take a spill when she'd run. I knew her time was close too.
The vet came out and we put Sunny and Tara both down. I didn't cry till it was over, had to be strong for them..my landlord loved my horses so much that we had them buried on top of the hill under the tree where they stood a lot watching the deer in the field.
Point is, not just Angie, but everyone, don't hang on to what gets you down, let it go but still deal with it, just turn it around and deal with it from a different mind set. I believe as so many times in the past, again I was being reminded to "let it go" it will work out if you stop clinging to it....so girl, run with the deal you have now. It will all work out in Gods time, not yours, but if you don't move, he can't direct your path.
Sorry this is long, but it is a point of letting it go and think positive and happy thoughts. Change it in you first!

I am on the same boat as you are.
Finding Buyers is tough.
I have been putting an ad online looking for buyers, not just one, a several of them. Changing the content and so on. Some of them are ghost ads. So far, I got only two responses, ONLY TWO!!. One, asked me my website and I said I did not have one yet. No response. The other one was trying to recruit me for some other business scheme she had been in.

I started to look for other investors' ad who seem to look for properties and I found one. I immediately contacted them and asked all the questions that Dean's course taught me. So, now I have one buyer in my list finally but having one is, of course, not enough.
It's tough...but I won't give up. I hope you won't, either.

Why? - it's different for all of us, but as Dean has so many times said - ultimately it is the same. The security of not worrying about the where am I going to be tomorrow. Living paycheck to paycheck.

Don't feel this is a challenge or let obstacle and frustration get in your way -Do you remember when you started kindergarten; you didn't know how to read, maybe didn't know your colors...

Did you give up? Yet everyday those same little hurdles - A, B, C ... you use them to this day. Knowledge!

So your computer blew up so you printers ink crapped out ... OK. Ditto. I decided to persevere! Come with us. What is there to loose?

I can tell you the last two weeks have been very frustrating, I'm feeling your pain - I am right there with you. We are going to perserve and move forward together. You CAN do this, I know you CAN! You need to pull all the energy from within your body - look in the mirror - repeat - Let no weapons form against me! I WILL do this and succeed! You go girlfriend! If you can't find a buyer, buy it yourself. I do deals all day long with individuals who are in a far worse place than you are at.

People here talk about Dean. Dean is successful, if he can do it, I can. Not many here will ever walk in Dean Graziosi's shoes, especially with a defeatist attitude.

Your like a friend of mine, Manny. He likes to talk just like you. He likes to talk about how bad life will be in seven months from today or the country is going to be in this position.

You know why people here are successful? because they eat, live, breath and sleep this business. They get out and do it. No money? they go to a hard money broker and get a loan. No buyers, they find them.

You could use a partnership to get a deal done. You find the deal and someone finds the money and you both find a buyer and split the profits.

The year isn't over yet is right. You have 12 weeks. If you are as down and out as you say and we all believe you are, then spend 3 weeks finding a deal, 1 week to put it together, three weeks to get it done and by twelve weeks, your getting a deal done.

There is a guy named Larry Winget, who has a book out called It's Your fault your broke. Read it, it's interesting.

Hi Angie, I sense it when we communicated on the phone a while back that you have a great spirit & the energy in your voice to reach that next level. We all believe it's in you to get the deal done & now is not the time to throw your hands up in the air & give up, after all you have accomplished. Sometimes you just need to speak with someone that you haven't heard from in a while to give you a higher boost of motivation to keep you in the game because the race is not over & you may call me when you feel this way to lift you up again. When you feel like this, it's a sign that a miracle is very near for you & this is when you need to push harder to see it come through. Only you as a woman could understand this, but it's like being in labor when your about to have a baby

I know have a computer, with internet, still no car, but I worked out a deal to use a car for 20 hours total a week, I am now enrolled in University of Pheonix for business, where I will learn what I need to to be able to run my business. And with all this going on, keeping my wife and son happy, building my confidence, taking small steps and noticing the achievments of those, and not just focusing on the big things that haven't happened yet.

I haven't made one single deal since getting the program. Not due to it not working, I just had to get over myself.

Now...nothing will stop me.

I will be checking on you to make sure......THAT WE BOTH DON'T GIVE UP.

Great Post Kimmy. Your heading her in the right direction. What I recommend is reading "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill and "The Millionaire's Mentality" by Charlie Cook or Charlie Hogan. Say Some Power Affirmations to yourself like "Today is going to be a great day" "I Feel like a million bucks" in a mirror everyday to yourself forever and don't stop. When you havie a negative thought coming your way be aware of it and don't give it any power just notice that it is there and close your eyes and make your eyes look up while they are closed and say to yourself several times while gripping your fists slightly and say ""cancel" "cancel" "cancel'. What you are doing is taking a positive action towards canceling that negative thought out. I promise it works. I failed to mention that there is an audio on "Think and Grow Rich" on Google. Also keep in mind that even the most successful people fail still. I don't claim to know it all and I possibly couldn't. I do how ever challenge myself each and everyday to learn something new each day. Putting on the right attitude, the right mental attitude we can eventually succeed. Remember we are going to fail but we don't have to give up. Just fail fast and fail better and keep moving. Stay around and seek out like minded positive people. I am happy to know my story helped you. I gave riding lessons for yrs and using the horses, always helped to teach my students valuable lessons in life about trust and confidence.
Many people would squeeze the horse with their legs to make them move, but immediately pulled back on the reigns to stop them when they started to move. Telling the horse to move and then yanking on the horses mouth to stop. Like riding your gas and brake at the same time...give the car gas, then slam on the brake because they were scared. Causing the horse to throw their head around and even jump what we call "crow hoping" around. The horse was totally confused and reacted accordingly.
So remember, look at where you want to be in that day, and don't keep stopping, go for it, and the ride will be much smoother, and like the horse then responding to you, life will too!

By the way, have you tried advertising on Freecycle for a computer? Wherever you live, there's a chapter near you. There are people advertising things they need and others advertising things they want to give away. All is free for the picking up - no money changes hands. If someone offers a computer, it might not be the latest and greatest, but it'll be FREE! It's freecycle.org.

When you decided to investing you are trying to better your life. Look at all the people that are out in the world that don't even try. If you keep thinking Negative it will bring you down. I am inpressed because you already
have a seller. Your one step a head of me. I will tell you when you make this happen you will feel awsome and you will because you have the drive.

Don't give up just hang in there and remember this is one of the only sites I know of you can come back and ask for help. Look at all the response you have gotten. Close your eyes and take a deep breath and say Lord help me thats what I do.
