I began reading Profit From Real Estate Right Now on 11 August 09, and am now reading Dean's 1st book. Even prior to completing Dean's 2nd book I had completed 2 "bird-dog deals". The beauty of these deals is the simplicity, especially since I have relationships with several investors as their general contractor. However; I am more interested in applying or trying, over a period of time, each and every technique discussed in Dean's books. My first goal is to be a daily contributer to this site. I want to thank every last contributer for their post and words of encouragement, and send a special thank-you to Rina, for her post about contributing if only a short post daily.

Congratulations on your 2 "bird-dog deals" and for starting your RE journal. A journal is a great idea to hold yourself accountable, track your progress and share some of your new found knowledge and experience with other DG Members. The key is do a little each day to move you closer to your goals and keep having fun with learning real estate. The great thing about Dean's books is they contain so many tips, strategies and techniques. Good luck trying different strategies in your area. Over time you may find your niche for what is working the best in your area and you will have options for each deal you discover. Good luck with real estate investing and with all your future deals. Thanks Joe for your words of encouragement!! Boy I finally recieved a reply to a post from a superstar such as yourself. Even thats exciting. Today I joined my local REI Association, and continued the reading of Dean's 1st book. I also made contact calls to fellow DG Family members in my area to keep the motivation flowing. Also as you can see by reading this post, I made a contibution to this site. Once again thanks Joe, it really means alot to a newbie to know that his/her post are read, and to have a reply from a "Shinning Star" like yourself. Your reply takes my motivation to a whole new level!!!!

Just wanted to say thank you Lea for your support. You know the the funny thing is that I have been rehabbing houses for several members of my local REI Assoc for several years, dealing with individual investors and also several Remax and Long & Foster REO/Investment Brokers. However never was inclined to invest for my self until the contracting "well went dry" during the last 2 years, any way here I am to stay. My goals for tomorrow are 1. thank my Lord and Savior, for another day and the opportunities that the day may bring, 2. make my daily contribution to this site, 3. continue reading Dean's 1st book, 4. concentrate on my next move, bird-dog deal or assignment, and 5th. to be a positive influence and a blessing to someone on this site!!!

BACK FROM THE ABYSS - HERE IS MY COMMITMENT

It has been four years since I last posted an update on my journal. Got off to a great start and became side tracked. Started a commercial construction firm, which has grown rapidly in the last two years. Four years a go my Lord and Savior
blessed me with a beautiful, and wonderful gift, my first child, Israel Santiago!

I joined the DG family 22 August 09, out of desperation and fear. Will I be a great father, like the one I was blessed with and will I be able to give him the life style, and opportunities I was fortunate to have been given by my parents. A few years back Israel was given a "autism spectrum diagnosis". I firmly believe that the tongue is a powerful instrument and the spoken word can create mountains or tear mountains down.

There is a Marine Corps. billboard currently in use which states " We do not accept applications, ONLY COMMITMENTS!!". I was in the Corps. for over 22 years. So I affirm this before GOD and all my fellow DG family members. From this day forward I will make no more excuses, I will take action daily and learn daily. I will be the best man of God, father, and human being that Christ gave his life in order for me to be and created and designed me to be.

Locked and Loaded and ready to ROCK n ROLL... no excuses, no fear, no boundaries... no limits!!!!

Remember, unless you are licensed you can not represent a buyer or a seller. You must show that you are an investor and doing the transaction in order to make a profit. There is a fine line and you must walk it. Unless of course you are a licensed RE agent, then of course you represent a buyer or seller.
