OfflineI know there are many on this forum that are struggling with putting all of Dean's principles and techniques into action. Many may feel overwhelmed or maybe do not have anyone in their personal life to support and encourage them thus leading to discouragement and negative thinking.
When I first started in REI I read a great book called "The Power of Positive Thinking" by Norman Vincent Peale and I would like to share one of his techniques that has enabled me to press forward and do over 100 wholesale deals and counting!
Believe in yourself!
Self-confidence leads to self-realization and successful achievement An effective method for making your subconscious positive in character is to eliminate certain expressions of thought and speech which we may call "little negatives"
"I am afraid"
"I can't do this"
"I will never succeed at this"
If a mass of little negatives clutter up your conversation they are bound to seep into your mind and join together and become " BIG NEGATIVES". The best way to eliminate them is to deliberately say a positive word about everything. When you keep asserting that "You are not afraid"," You can do this" and " I will succeed at this" by doing this you invoke the law of positive effects and success will be imminent.
I encourage you to reply to this post with positive words to yourself. Nothing more and nothing less. Just encourage yourself with positive words here and then put them to practice in your every day conversation.

Hey Carol I just wanted to say that I am a newbie to RE Investing. I came across your post and was relieved because I know that the power of words and the power of positive thinking is so important. Sometimes in life you have to motivate yourself. I want to say that things are moving slow but I am not worried because I see Investors like you that made it despite your obstacles and that gives me hope. God Bless and Happy Investing.
