A question....

A question....

Hi, I have a question. I'm new to this site, and very interested in getting into real estate. I've been looking through Ebay for a while now, and notice alot of distressed homes for sale/bid, anywhere from $2000 to $50,000 and of course more. I am aware that most are in very bad condition and not in the safest locations. However, I got my eye on a few. Especially a 2 family in PA that is being rented right now for $600 each apt. This particular home is selling for $15,000 and doesn't look in that bad of shape. My credit is pretty bad right now, and I don't have much money to throw down (living in NY you need good credit or a big pocket) which is why I'm asking about ebay. I was just wondering if anybody had any experiences with real estate from that site? I hope to be a regular here soon, sharing all my success with everyone. I just need that first deal.

Thank you,
Mike

Hi Mike do you know if that

Hi Mike do you know if that property is a FSBO? If so you could contact them and see if they would be willing to do a owner finance deal with you, maybe low interest only monthly payments with a balloon payment 6-12 months from now. Its worth a try.

I have the money for homes

I have the money for homes like that... ya know 10-15 thousand. Most of the homes on ebay are for sale by owner. Most of the sellers seem to be investors who buy homes in lots or something, and just sell them to make a few thousand profit. My credit is the problem(which I am working on). I live in New york and the homes are very expensive. I want to invest in homes out of state, but then I got to worry about a property manager(if I buy income property)and/or got to find the time off of work to spend at the property.

I don't have any eBay experience

I don't have any eBay realty experience, but if you have the money to buy the property, why do you need credit? The income from the apartments could pay for management/repairs.

When I say I have the money,

When I say I have the money, I mean the amount of money to purchase a home on ebay. I'm talking about 15k tops. I'm new to this, but $15,000 doesn't seem like enough without credit....I may be wrong. I got to start reading the material by Dean that I purchased. I also registered to go to school for my license. Any info that you could give me is very helpful, thanks.

Thanks,
Mike
