DG.com I need advice, met a RE Developer thats get's houses cheap!

Hi everyone. A couple of days ago, I sold a car to a gentleman who is a real estate developer in Newark, NJ. He has a great relationship with the city and the mayor.

Here's the situation:
Somehow the city gives him property that they own and gives him an alotted budget to invest into rehabbing them. He may buy the property for 10K, he'll spend 40K rehabbing and tell them he spent 80K and he tries to turn around and sell them for 130K+. I'm trying to Think a Little Differently and see if there is anyway that we can come together on some deals because he is of course looking for buyers.

Can anyone help me to understand if/how a relationship like this can be cultivated to be a win/win. Thanks in advance.

Find buyers for his houses and get a finders fee

If he's selling a house for $130k, add another $10k-$20k on top, once he closes, you walk away with a nice check

All developers, investors, etc will continue to work with you if you can help them make money. Very simple.
