I Joined the Real Estate Success Academy This Week!
I feel overloaded with info & far behind. :\
If you're reading this & are in the academy (or have been), how long does/did it take you to go through a lesson?
And do you have any general advice that you would like to give me relating to the academy? Anything that you wish you knew at first?
I may sound a bit down but I'm not! I'm excited & I'm going all in!

"FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION"
Currently there is no way I can afford it if its more then a $1. We're already not making it, 4th baby on the way, no income coming in, and heading towards eviction, but I was just curious for the future. I don't want to be poor forever. My kids deserve more. I just want to know how much it costs so I can hopefully save up in the future and join the Success Academy. I'm a Realtor in Northern California, so I know Real Estate.
Thank you for letting me know the price. Thats an awful lot of money. I'm sure its worth every peeny of it. I've read his books many times. I don't know where to start. The only thing that stops me is fear. Fear of failure can be overwhelming. I have a lot of negative people around me. I'm not going to let them stop me though. My kids are too important. I grew up poor and REFUSE to let my kids suffer the same prediciment. I'm DETERMINED to show my kids nothing is impossible and the skys the limit.
Congratulations!! This will be one of the biggest and best decisions of your life! (I know. I did it too and it changed my life)
Don't feel like you have to do it all at once. The worst thing you can do is overload yourself to the point of quitting. The other worst thing you can do is be so lax that you quit.
ok, that sounded a little silly, but seriously, if you just stay at it there is no way you won't succeed. the only thing that can stop you is if you give up.
The lessons, along with the advisors' help, will walk you right through what you need to complete your deals. You have every tool you need to make it work. PLEASE do not be hesitant to call the advisory line with ANY question. These guys/gals are active investors who REALLY know their stuff and LOVE what they do. They are successful enough in REI that they don't NEED a job as Success Academy advisor, but they are there because they love REI and love to help others succeed (meaning YOU )
One thing I wish I would have really listened to in the beginning is the fact that you really don't need to use your own money to do deals. Almost everything I do now is with OPM (other people's money) private money or with seller-financing and bank financing (NMD). So that's a little tidbit.
And yes, the 5-deal warrantee/guarantee is real. When I joined the Academy I was able to complete my 5 deals in just 5 months (some people do it faster) and got every penny of my money back from Dean in exchange for my Success Story. (Of course, I've made so many hundreds of thousands since then, I have started to give it back to the SPIFF fund cause I feel guilty having taken it back. LOL)
Hope that helps some. I am so excited for you, Raven. As an alumni, I would be happy to answer any questions I can as you go along with your studies. If you don't already have a journal in here, you should start one. It's really incredible to look back later and see how far you've come.
God bless!

I can so relate to your situation. I had all negative around me as well when I first started. But then I found this site and all the positive reinforcement I needed (SO awesome!).
Your "WHY" (your kids )is big enough to keep you motivated for sure, and being in the RE world yourself, I am sure you realize the potential there is for financial advancement and security as an investor. I am excited for you and what the future holds now for your family.
If you have any way to join the Success Academy at some point, I would encourage it. It really helps with laying out the exact steps and holding a person accountable to take action. And having someone there to hold your hand past the scary stuff (our own perception of it) is really great.
I wish you all the best, and make SURE you frequent this site for support too (it's what kept me going). Looking forward to hearing great things from you guys!
