I think that it would be helpful for everyone on the site if we post any ads that have been particularly successful here in one place. The posts for ads are great but they are all over the place and I think that it might be helpful for everyone if they were easy to get to and all in one forum topic!

I went back through my PM's today looking for the link to the ad I sent to you from CL from the 'great' attorney. I did find the original PM but when I clicked on the link to review it, it had expired!
I was thinking of posting that ad here because it had a really great eye catching title and the body of the ad was really impressive, I thought that it would be a great example for everyone to see.
There are so many great ads all over this site, I hope that they get posted here, it's really going to be so helpful to everyone.

77k. The kicker is they post these signs in area's...Totally a no go

Maybe this will help somebody, or give some one Idea's...Found on Craigslist...Word of caution...When posting an ad, make sure spellings are correct!!! I had to correct 7 errors in this and probably missed something else...Other than that, you can tell he is a wholesaler, and deals with home buyers...

I really like the ad that you posted too, I am always thinking when I read something like this that it is from another DG family member!
Just an FYI for everyone. as marc said, ALWAYS spell check everything you put out there. It is, in many cases, the first time that you represent yourself to a new person, investor, seller, buyer, agent, etc., those first impressions really count! Makes a difference! People will judge, whether we like it or not! (I do not have my glasses on right now, I hope that I am not mis-spelling stuff here

I've also posted it on Craigslist a few minutes ago. So far I haven't had any inquiries off the one posted on Kijiji.
Thank you so much for posting your Ad, it is really good. The point of this thread is to share Internet ad ideas in general and especially the ones that work so everyone can adapt them and use them. I am thinking that you will get a positive response to this, keep us posted.
I know on Craig's List you can have an anonymous 'return email address' for responses to a posting so that you do not have to give out your own personal email address. I am not familiar with Kijiji though.

My craigslist re-post of the ad has gotten a response. I'm awaiting to see if this person is real and not just some trying to sell me on something. I'm going to post in other places, as well and see which is getting the most response.
So a this guy contacted me tonight. He's a potential buyer, but has a really small budget for a home, $250,000 max. But he's interested in some high-end areas like Hollywood/Los Feliz, Burbank, Echo Park, Highland Park or Mt. Washington. I went to FSBO.com, but didn't find anything in that price range or even near it. What suggestions do you have for finding properties that are FSBO? Craigslist? Or is this guy just unrealistic. He knows it's a challenge.
The BEST times to post on CL are always Sunday evenings around 7pm. Also be consistent and do it every Sunday. The best time for weekdays are Tues & Thurs between 1-3pm & 7-9pm. This was tested by a marketing guru.

Why don't you place an ad looking for a property in the area he wants with the $250,000 price cap that he has and see what responses you get. (Remember that you have to work a profit your yourself in there too!) Or look at the post above from Elena M and use one of those:

If all else fails let this buyer know that he cannot get anything decent in the area he wants for the budget he has, maybe you can help him find something really nice in another neighborhood which will bring him a nice profit in a couple of years and then he will have $$$ for a property in his desired neighborhood then.

Also, under which categories are you guys placing these ads? i.e. the for sale category? the job category? Basically, how and where would I post an add that would have potential buyers see and respond to it?
