I am trying to do a rehab, but I know nothing about the construction end of a deal. This is why I need a partner. I have the money and market knowledge, but will definitely need a partner that can do and manage the work, but I don't know how I can legally be protected and what would be considered a fair deal. Any opinions on what I should be doing? How can would I structure the deal and protect myself?

You do not have to have a partner if you can find a good contractor. When you hire a contractor they will be able to give you an estimate on cost and time frame for getting the rehab complete. Ask for referrals from your real estate agent. I would also have at least 2 contractors give you a bid on your rehab deal. You will need to follow up with the contractors to make sure they are showing up and staying on track.

Elizabeth i have enough experience to be you partner. I also have the man power to finish the job in one month i also have contractor who are willing to get paid after the house is sold. But without your profile info no one will be able to write any good advice partnering and on how to protect yourself with contracts.
