Could I write an addendum to protect me from a sudden drop in the FMV of a property?
ie. natural disasters, ect.
*This contract is contingent upon the real property sustaining its current fair market vaue until closing of the contract.

Put a clause in the contract that states that you have the ability to conduct a final walk through of the property prior to closing. And that if the home is not in the same condition as when you placed your offer you have the ability to cancel the contract and recieve your earnest money back. You have a good contingency as well. Good Job!
