Can I wholesale if the seller has an agent?

Can I wholesale if the seller has an agent?

I apologize if this question seems a bit foolish, but I would appreciate any answers.

Is it possible/legal to wholesale a property whose seller has a real estate agent?

For example, can I approach an RE agent that's representing a certain seller/property with my offer and wholesale option, resulting in me assigning the property to another buyer should the seller accept?

I don't think it is, but I'd rather make sure. Thank you for your help!

Beware, from what I've read, the key is as Drew stated "This is why you have your qualified buyer lined up first – that means you’ve found a buyer and know the details as to your buyer’s criteria." If your buyer doesn't close, you need to close. If you don't close, you risk being blacklisted by the seller's Agent.
