I am a member with National Grant Conference for over 4 years now. I have bad credit. Each time I would submit an application to fund a project, I am turned down because of my credit and self employment low income. The projects were never Real Estate related.
I now see the full potential, if a grants can be gotten that would buy foreclosed and wholesale properties and turn them into affordable housing. This would meet a NEED that would rank high for consideration.
I am looking for a partner that would be attached to my account with National Grant Conference, who has good credit and employment history that would get the first loan to purchase 2 low end properties, fix and flip, pay off the loan, split the profits 50/50, and keep repeating the process over and over.
If there is anyone that would be interested in this venture, please get back to me.
What is your credit looked while for grant consideration?

I too wondered about that, after I paid them the fee because they advertised and promoted themselves as grant getters. Some of these loans turn out to be forgiven loans (with certain criteria). Some are very very low interest loans. Some are to minorities. Some are to fix historic homes. Some are to revitalize certain areas. Some are for professionals to revitalize and live in certain areas. Most of these comes with stipulations.....eg. hiring of disabled....or be owner occupant.....or not to get rid of the property for a certain amount of time. So, if a person or persons getting these loans, and follow their guidelines and stipulations.....then these loans get to be forgiven as grants.
I hope I have explained it well enough to your satisfaction. Maybe others who have added information can add to the what it takes for the grant process.
Thanks Todd

Bad Idea, cause grants aren't used to flip properties. If so everybody would take advantage of the gub-ments money. Just find a investor to do assignments with and build cash instead of wishing and hoping for a grant. Investors are willing to work with you.
