We are NOT giving up...but, if this falls thru, we are taking a break and clearing our heads. Now, just when I think there is no hope....
This "evil" realtor called today. Why? Why call us since YOU said our offer was ridiculous. Well, it seems that the asset manager wants to know our MAXIMUM cash offer "in writing" ....
I told her "Why, if you have so many other full price offers....why would they care about or little offer YOU feel is ridiculous" LOL (It made me feel good to slap her a little bit).
Anyhoo.....we did another offer with our full 35K CASH plus paying back taxes and settlement fees. We DROPPED offering to pay realtor fees because I told her ...
"I wanted to work with the bank directly and they insisted hiring you so, they can pay for you"
LOL.....just another "dig". Oh well, no loss ... if it still gets turned down at least they cant say we didn't give it everything we got !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
~~~~~~ Praying for our dream house ~~~~~~
Way to go KariNmike, stick to your guns and trust what you know. Then do it again, and then do it again, and then do it one more time, because I bet that is the one that grows your bank account. Good luck!!!
Congratulations on making your lower offer. That is great! I sometimes smile when I hear the realtor say make "your best and final offer". This happend to me about 2 months ago on an REO, Every other week they called me and I would lower my offer each time by $1,000.
I did not get the home but it felt like the right thing to do. The thing I learned is these bank's motivation can change on a daily basis. So hold firm on your offer and see what happens. If they accept another offer, if could fall through and they may be calling you again. I wish you the best of luck on this deal. Believe and Achieve! - Joe
