I purchased a single family house. I want to check for needed repairs. How can I get free quotes from contractors. I am not going to keep this house . I am going to flip the house to another investor.

...them and ask for a bid. Most contractors will do free estimates and they don't expect to get most of the jobs they bid. Get 2 or 3 bids and ask them if you can talk to the customers on their last 2 jobs completed. If they say "no" those customers probably aren't happy....you probably won't be either. yelp.com or angieslist.com give customer reviews too. Even if you plan on doing the work yourself or have your own team, give your contractors at least SOME of the work they bid on once in a while and they'll be quicker to answer the phone next time. Happy rehabbing!

Francisco,
You may want to have one general contractor give you a bid and allow him/her to oversee all of the work. The way to get bids is to also let the contractor know you are planning on starting the work very soon. Finally, Home Depot always has a good list of cntractors. Good Luck.
