As an investor myself, I never give out my cash buyer information. Perhaps this agent did not understand that you just want the list of people that have paid cash for their houses. This is a matter of public record! "Cash solds" for the last 90 days.
Not that you did this yourself Anne, but most of the time new investors have trouble with agents because of how they present themselves OR the questions/ requests they ask and make. Agents will gladly work with someone that will do a deal a month versus a home owner that buys once every 10 years! They just have to believe YOU are that person.
Remember, agents work for a living, they do this job to feed their families and put food on their tables. No wonder agents kick "investors" to the curb ALL the time. I don't know about you but I won't do a bunch of free work with out getting paid. New people are out there and they don't even know what a deal is (how to run the numbers on a specific property)or which properties to offer on!
Good Luck!

I agree with Michael, clarify what you were asking from the agent because think about asking her for her buyers list, why would she put you in the middle of the transaction to take up money when she doesn't need to. It doesn't make any business sense to do so. Let your agent know you want them to do a search on the mls system for buyers who have bought for cash for the last 60 days. If she still dosen't then get another agent.
If I am an investor and I have cash buyers that I can go to when I get a property, what would be the logical reason to give a total stranger my sources of income and take nothing or less???
All county offices will have those records for you, check with your local county or courthouse. You can also try a real estate title company, they can also pull those for you.
Gee, Anne, did that agent tell you WHY she wouldn't give you the names of cash buyers? Nice, huh?
Well, find a new agent, obviously.
Per Dean's books, you don't need her help anyway. Lots of ways to discover who are cash buyers, including your county recorder or assessor.
Anne, I would find another agent. Their are so many agents seeking business that you should have no trouble finding one.

When Matt talks about giving his real estate agent 15%,is that 15% of the total sale or 15% of matt's profit?

Hey Jeff,
Matt is talking about 15% of his profit....
Hey Anne,
I agree with Michael, clarify what you were asking from the agent because think about asking her for her buyers list, why would she put you in the middle of the transaction to take up money when she doesn't need to. Good luck,

Never understood that concept.
