Usually, we just schedule an appt to go over and look at the home with a contractor. Although its boarded, the front or back door usually is not. Also have your realtor pull comps. Worse case scenario, you could have it appraised. Hope this helps!

to what Ms indy said, when you meet them the first question you should ask them is "what do you want to net???"

In addition to Lenee and Elix's comments I would just ask "Hey, how and when can I get in and take a look at the property? I have to see it before I know what I can offer"

many times, boarded houses will not have any utilities turned on, so make sure you take a good flashlight (with new batteries) with you-preferable the kind that has a strap that you can wear on your head, so that your hands will be free to write notes, etc.
