DOES ANYONE KNOW

DOES ANYONE KNOW

If there is a phone number which puts you directly into Countrywide's REO department?

I have the numbers for the short sale department and the collection department but, I wanted to know if there were any other number out there.

When you called the other numbers.....

did you ask them if they had a number for the REO dept? Btw, I'm dealing with the same bank REO's(Bank Of America). I'm just now knowing that they've aquired Countrywide. lol. I'll let you know what I come up with, if you don't come up with it first.

YEP.....

The woman in the short sale department actually told me the REO Dept does NOT accept incoming calls. I know they do. I am now going to call the ONE countrywide office in THIS state - which is now Bank of America and see if I can smooth talk someone there. You know, I would consider using countrywide/BofA when I re-finance that house and maybe that will help.

I also have a contact in NC who is a big investor and he is going to do some checking. He said he knows a woman who is an agent for countrywide REOs. Maybe he will get somewhere. I know that with this take over ... things might be pretty messed up over there.

Well I'm sure....

That from the reports I've heard on Countrywide that they'll be more than eager to accept lot's of low offers on their properties just so they can continue to pay settlement costs to the 1000's of people they ripped off. Good luck!

My thought....

In the grand scheme of things this little home is "pennies" to the debts incurred on million dollar homes in places such as CA. I read an article last week that homes in CA valued two years ago at over a million are selling for half or less than half now and the un-believable number in foreclosure.

So, this little drop in the bucket home may not be as "important" to get high dollar as some of the really nice homes in very good condition. This little home has issues and why would countrywide want to let it sit for the next year waiting to get it off their books.

They should grab my offer and run !!!!!!!!!!!

Just my opinion.

Go to Google and type in the search bar for (Banks Foreclosure Database)you should get a list of Bank numbers.Find the Fax number for Bank Of America and fax your Offer straight into them. Hope this helps.

I need a website address!!!

I saw a website posted on here somewhere yesterday that was a free foreclosure website, it also had a forum ( which by the way looked pitiful) but I found two homes in my area. I can't seem to find it now and was wondering if maybe someone could repost that site. They were helping someone else out by giving them this info. I don't remember who or what post date it was, but I read it yesterday.

Thanks much,
Brian

That google search helped

Thanks alot

Thanks whurndon, I searched all day trying to find that thread and couldn't. Found two properties very cheap that I am going to call about tomorrow. One is within 4 miles of me and the other about 15 or less. If I pay full asking price, I can make money off of rental fees in two years. Wish me luck!!!

Thanks again,

Brian

Try Bank of America

Bank of America bought countrywide. You may want to try Bank of America.
