Congratulations on your success story! I've just read your entire journal and it is so inspiring! I feel like this is truly a real opportunity for "regular" people like myself and I can't wait to put some of this advice into action. Thank you for taking the time to share all you've learned.

Hi Carol,

I enjoyed listening to your meeting with Dean. It is definately inspiring and it shows that you took the action necessary to get the deal done.

I just had a closing today on a wholesale deal and it was great.

I am so thankful for all of the wonderful posts that all of you have left. You know the true meaning of success is not in what you have but in what you are. I want to be the inspiration that someone needs to get started & the story that someone needs to hear to have hope. Because in being all those things to others I am successful!

I never thought that taking action in spite of my fear would not only help me to succeed but so many others as well. My heart rejoices each time I hear someone has taken steps after hearing or reading my story.

It has been a hard road. One that I would not want to travel down again. But to see that my journey has changed so many lives along with my own is truly a blessing.

I have just read through this entire journal. The obstacles that you have overcome are almost mind boggling for me. We all have challenges, but when I look at what you have accomplished in a short time, it makes me feel as though RE success is right around the corner for all of us. Your journey has really become a tutorial for me. Congratulations on what you have done!! I can tell that you are still well grounded in what is really important through it all.

When I read through my journal I cannot help but be utterly humbled by what the Lord has carried me through. It was truly 99% Him and 1% obedience.

My journey is not over yet but I know that the ride I am on now is going straight to the top!

When I post about my accomplishments here on DG I never want to seem as though I am boasting. In reality I post because I want others to see that this can be done. I want more than anything to encourage others to step out and believe in themselves. To know that this is achievable, that success is not just something that happens to a few but that it can happen to each and every person willing to take what they have learned to a new level. That new level being a place of uncommon ground, a place outside of your comfort zone. Because that is where success started for me. It started when I was willing to step out of my world and into the realm where I had to put what I had learned to work.

This was not an easy transition. I had to step out into a world where I had to call people I did not know, negotiate things that I was not mentally equipped to discuss and rely solely on the pages of a book for guidance. At that time however my present world seemed to be even more of an enemy that the one I was going head first into.

I am now so excited that I jumped into the unknown because now that I am here I am never going back. Every day here brings new hope, new accomplishments. In this world once your here there is no where to go but forward. Once you take that first step you begin to take another and another and each step you take brings you closer and closer to financial freedom.

In reality as I look back over the past year I am faced with the fact that I could have stayed where I was. Where would I be today if I had let my fear take control and not stepped out? Where would my children be if I had just said "I can't do this" and gave up before I even started. I cringe when I think about the fact that I could have chosen to doubt this whole REI thing and wrote it off as something that was unachievable to people like me.

I am not where I want to be in REI. Truthfully I have not even begun to build wealth or even save much of the money that I have made. I have paid off some bills and used some of the money to invest into my new REI career. A new computer, new fax and phone system was needed to help me be more effective in working from home. I no longer have to stress over how I am going to pay the bills every month and my refrigerator is constantly packed with food (that feels good ).

So in reality it is not the money that I have been making that has made me successful over the past year. It is the fact that I stepped out in spite of fear and made it happen.

I'm a newbie to this site and have read your entire journal....it's has been such an INSPIRATION!!! I lost pretty much everything and was nearly homeless, but thank God for my dad who helped me and let me stay at his house. I am sooo grateful to have found Dean and this website, everyone here is so helpful and giving with advice, knowledge and experience....it's just so wonderful and gives me hope for my future which I haven't had in a long time. Thank you for sharing all your posts along your journey, it's been amazing! I hope you realize how many lives you have touched and helped on this webiste...I thank you for being my inspiration. Congratulations on all your success and I look forward to reading about every one of them! Take care...

Thank you so much for your posts. Your honesty and wilingness to share what you've experienced really does give encouragement. When you say you stepped into this new area in spite of your fear, that resonates with so many of us. I also have that fear and aprehension in moving forward but seeing that you did it any way helps me. I hope to read even more of your story as you progress.

Please you are such a gem to us all. Don't ever think that sharing a deal is boasting. You are very humble. I can see that. YOu are an inspiration to us all. Your most recent post rings so true with me. I can't help but tear up when I read. I'm not homeless but as most people it's probably only 1 paycheck away. It's great to know that just stepping out of my comfort zone and taking action is all it takes. I have many on here that tell me that it's only yourself that truly stops you from overcoming the F_ _ _ word (i'm trying not even to say it anymore). So from the deepest part of my heart I thank you for all of your knowledge and wisdom. I truly can't wait to meet you.

You guys are the best!! Your right Cathy there are so many people that are only one pay check away from homeless. Most of America lives pay check to paycheck and it only takes one missed paycheck to make one missed mortgage payment.

Many tell me not to look back but keep moving forward however I NEVER want to forget where I came from. It helps me appreciate where I am. It also inspires me to reach back and grab the hands of others with the hope of helping them get out as well. I never want to be moving so fast that I neglect to look back

I think I need to follow your example and remember to post not only successes (which, like you said, come so easy over time), but how scary it is in the beginning! I know the journals are for keeping track of growth for ourselves, but thanks for the reminder that others are reading and may not get to see the real person behind the post. You are a wonderful woman and you're right, it's only by God's grace that we are so blessed!

Thanks for every stone that you put under my feet during my journey. When i felt like I would stumble you would encourage me and with each word of encouragement it was like you put a large stone under each foot for me to step on.
