What an awesome thing this is, it's very nice to see someone like Dean breath freash air into others. AND he's not completely full of himself either so thats 10 bonus points right there.

we are really excited about this opportunity! There are a lot of worthy players on this site and many who have the same heart and passion for REI and people. I just hope we make you proud in our attempts to accomplish what it is you are looking for in us. I hope you have so many "winners" that you'll have a hard time deciding who gets the "steak dinner". The Inner Circle is a group of people willing to be active on DG.com and post topics relevant to todays real estate heartbeat. The Winners Circle is truly the best of the best at getting "results". It is someone who will find their obstacles and call them out. Someone willing to do battle with whatever it is that holds them back. Truly, you guys may be talking a little trash amongst yourselves, but the only real competition you have is you. The Winners Circle will never be crowded because their is only one winner of the competition picked each year. Everyday you are losing time. Get out there and do battle. This thing is up for grabs. Just because some of the top people posting on the site may have already done some deals that doesn't mean anything. It has a lot more to do with it than that. It may be more impressive to Dean that someone just getting started today that has never been around real estate and just does a few deals as compared to someone that has been around real estate for years that does a lot of deals. It is about where you started out and where you finish plus, there are so many other things that Deans group looks at. Run your own race and claim your victory!

I am so inspired by Dean's post and all the responses from the top people! I am working on understanding this whole Real Estate thing and overcoming my HUGE fear of stepping out. I am also very desperate to change my current (miserable) situation and start working on living again.
Congratualtions to Matt (his story is amazing) and all those who are my source of inspiration on this site. I have a lot to learn and I won't stop until I have defeated my fears.
I will continue to read as many posts as I can and keep reading the book 'Be a Real Estate Millionaire' until I too can compete in the winners circle.

you guys think i'm playin' but it's on, this is a battle between me, myself and I and i'm ready to step out of my comfort zone to see what i have been missing my entire life: wealth & true independence, it's time that i show everyone in my family that i'm NOT the loser in the family, you see i've kind of had an up hill struggle my whole life and guess what, for the first time in my life i'm fine with that, to be honest, @ this point, i've come so far from where i used to be that i really don't care what my family thinks anymore. they can do them, and i'll do me, it's time to make me happy, to reach my goals for me and only me, thiers no excuses anymore for me to use, it is time.....see you on the other side..SULLY.

Meaning you have finally come into you and I applaud you for THAT! I know how hard it can be separating yourself or feeling separated from family, I have been there myself. But you are correct in that its all about you now. Hold your head up high Sully and step to the plate like the winner you are. I am sure that for all of those that counted you out and branded you the family looser have made mistakes themselves.

So I welcome you company as we make our way to the top. I am so glad to have you here.

Sully, there is no going back now. You have made the committment. There is no "back" to goto anyway. It doesn't matter how hard it gets or how tired you get. Pain doesn't matter. Tired doesn't exist. You don't even have time to be hungery. None of that stuff matters. Only your destiny matters. Once I made the commitment it was done. My goals were already achieved in my head it just a matter of making them reality so everyone else could see them. In my mind it was done. Losing sucks. I was tired of losing my whole life. I was tired of people laughing at me and making fun of the rental house we lived in and the crappy clothes I wore and the car I drove. I had to get serious. Forget all your problems, they don't matter. Go out and get this done AND CLAIM YOUR VICTORY BECAUSE YOU ARE A WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can relate to Sully as I was the black sheep and had to fight to get an education and prove myself to my family and friends. Long story. I did it and proved that I could do anything I put my mind to. I just want to understand this RE and really get ahead. I have a wonderful mother who worked so hard her whole life and was a single mum with 5 kids for many years.
She was evicted from her rental unit a couple of years ago, by a rotten excuse for a human being, and has been in a severely depressed state ever since. She lives with my sisters. One and then the other. I want desperately to buy her a home of her own and at this point it seems impossible. This is half of my motivation. The other half is another story entirely.
Keep inspiring me. I am not one of the Elite 5 but I am hoping that I can get there!
