How to Retire In Your 30's Part 1

How to Retire In Your 30's Part 1

In a world of uncertainty, most would have retirement thoughts as far away from themselves as possible. In fact most people are clinging to job security at a time when I am running from it. If this seems frightening then this post is for you. I want to show you a few simple steps to take to map out a plan so you can retire several years, if not decades, early. Retiring early is a must. It was all I could think out. Day and night-I just wanted my freedom. Why are people programmed to think retirement age is 65? Certaintly it can't be because they are waiting on social security. Social security will be doomed in under 15 years-I guarantee that. Here's why. There are 83,000,000 people right now in the U.S. that are between the ages of 50-65 years old. In the next 15 years they will all be pulling social security benefits of, on average, about $1000 per month. Now if you take $1000 per month times 83,000,000 that comes to 83 billion dollars per month! That is like funding and Iraqi war every month-it simply is not possible to pay for. And those numbers don't even count the current people receiving a social security check.

I just wanted to live life at a young age, that is why I chose to build a pipeline of income from real estate. Here are some reasons why it will be faster than ever to retire early.

1. Real estate prices are the lowest they have been in over 10 years.

2. Banks have restricted loans more now than in the past 10 years.

3. The mass news media have bashed real estate as an investment causing most people to run away from real estate.

4. Rent rates are climbing faster than ever in most areas.

If you add up all of those things it is a recipe for super fast income production. In its basic form it means that what used to take 15 years to create now can be done in 2 years. In part 2 I will get into the nuts and bolts of an actual plan to create a massive income pipeline for passive income from real estate. Stay Tuned!

My story

Thanks CBR, I had set a goal (when I was 21) to be retired and self sufficient at 55 years of age. I have ten days left before I turn 56. I must addmit that I have accumulated almost 3 times what I had orriginally figured it would take to be self sufficient. My estimates were way off. There were alot of factors I had not considered. New plan is to achive the same goal in less than five years. With RE investing, I have confidence that I can accomplish this goal. Looking forward to Part 2!

Sorry Sully I can't run for president for at least 2 more years. You have to be at least 35 years old. Thanks for the vote though.

Totally Agree

an addition to "2 "but rates are still very low nevertheless" for those who do puruse that route.

I would never have been able to afford 15 year loans on my first 2 houses had the rates not been so low and now they will be paid off in 7 years. Too bad I can't get a loan now since I don't have a "real job".

Looking forward to Part II

Retirement is not age specific, it is income-specific!

I totally agree with your post CBR! Retirement in our 30's sounds awesome! I'm in! -- so please hurry with Part 2. I can't wait!!!!

I also learned that the government gives us a retirement age of 65, because they know that an average retiree's life ends around the age of 68-70. They say, "what the heck, he/she worked for me for 40+ years, I can pay him/her 3-5 years of passive income.

I say, retirement is not age specific (at least that's what our government likes for us to think so), it is income-specific! Because today, if someone granted you passive income for the rest of your life to pay off all your monthly obligations plus $1 (for profit), I think you may think of retiring.

Thru DG, we can retire as soon as we like! We're the boss, we tell ourselves how much we are going to make, when we are going on vacations, how long we will be going on vacation, and how much we will spend during our vacation! Its your call!

CBR, please hurry with Part 2 -- I am hungry for more details!

Time to eat!

Bring on Part 2 because part 1 just made me hungry. Retiring early 30s sounds so so good. I can almost taste it. CBR you rock!
