I would like to say "thank you" too, to everyone. I can honestly say it's because of my DG family that I stay challenged and equipped each day to press forward in REI. You guys are so inspiring I actually have to remind myself that there ARE still other things in life that need my attention.
That's ok, though, as long as there's balance. AND there are so many great families represented here, it just feels like a great part of life!

That's so sweet of you to include me in your thank you, but honestly NO thanks is necessary. I do this because I enjoy helping others and I made a promise after my first deal that I would help others, so I'm just keeping that promise. As for the rest of the DG family, they're just awesome people who freely give their advice, knowledge and experience! They are the reason I became a part of the DG family in the first place. They inspired me and supported me when I had NO one else! Actually, I would like to thank them for that too.

I have never been part of a group where people are more than happy to help you out and answer all your questions. I know that you've seen the same questions over and over again, and yes, I am guilty of doing the same, but, you still answer them.

This is one of the many reasons that I love visiting this site. Everyone has the same goal and are more than happy to help everyone else along. I have searched and participated on other sites, but, this one by far is the Best!!!

This is one of the best REI communities on the web. I've been a member of many, and frankly, on those there are a lot of people who either like to be killjoys, don't share much or don't really know what they are talking about.
There is a good mix of people here, and one thing that is unique is most of the people here got started getting successful in real estate from a bad position, whereas a lot of "mainstream" investors end up getting involved because they wanted to put huge chunks of cash on hand into investments.
The sad part is, there is a lot of BAD companies that advertise on TV that give a stigma to everyone else. These places don't have best selling books sold in stores or Amazon, etc like Dean does. The reason you won't find a community for those companies is because they would likely be filled with not so kind words. The reason we started this one was for people to be able to excel first, but also we wanted to be able to distance ourselves from those companies as a legitimate company. Dean has dabbled in a bunch of areas of investment and entrepreneurial methods, but he got his start in building his wealth in real estate, and I would put money on it he is the only person talking about real estate on TV that is actually an actual investor. He has more investment properties than I can count and is always in buy and sell mode.
In short, the stuff going on these communities is top notch, and there is a lot of people who end up here and lurk that are from the "mainstream" because the community and info you all bring to the table is top notch.

Just to touch upon a statement by dgamin, basically stating how Dean is one of the only "Gurus" on television who practices what he preaches.
This is so true. What made me believe in Dean above and beyond all of the other investors pitching their program on television, is that I actually worked as a Senior Sales Manager at the "informercial" company where Dean filmed his commercial.
Every "product" (for lack of a better word) that was offered from that company was completely researched, so no "bull" was pitched!
So, I knew what ever Dean stated on the infomercial was a fact, or else he could not state it!
So I believe!
