hi, from what I got from the lady I talked to,it depends on how much you can afford,or how much councelling you need.so I think basiclly it depend on the individual and their circumstances.

Thanks for the info from all of yall. I bought the program for my husband but he never did anything with it. Now, I believe I may not have a job in Dec, so I was looking into getting involved myself. I believe that this would work I was just working a lot of hours. I could not find the book I received, so I went out yesterday and bought one. I am up to chapter 7 so far. I watched the cd and noticed that there were coaches as well as other products that can help me and others on our way. I am on such a high from the book. I agree the book is great. I want to be ready to go when I finish the book, that is why I was looking for a mentor. Once again thanks for the info. Do you think that I should finish the book then get the mentor or get the mentor now?

Welcome to the DG family, glad you joined us. Well, I say finish the book, there are people who read the book and went right out and did it. If you feel mentoring will get you in the game then do it. Investing in yourself is always the best route for anything you pursue.

The house in the picture is not my current home, although I DO love my current home, it's actually the nicest one I've owned yet. However, the picture is of my future dream home... I'm visioning much bigger and better. I'm glad it inspires you. I believe pictures are something everyone should have up to acheive their dreams and goals. View them daily to remind yourself of what you want and where you want to go. I also keep a copy of my first rei check up!

This advice is really goood. I keep doing so much, trying to do this on my own. And i know that I can do anything thru Christ. Thanks for the inspirations.

You should also read as much of the info you can on this site,you have a choice of many mentors. I take the opportunity daily to invest in the wealth of info available here. Elena, Jeff beat me to the punch. I have been watching the picture every time I am on site and have been saying how beautiful the house is. It was also my intention to ask, however, since you do use this as inspiration, I believe that is a wonderful idea for self-determination towards ones future goal. It's wonderful people like you that make me want to continue what I do here. Just knowing I can make a difference in someone's life is an amazing accomplishment. When I did my first deal and walked away with $48,500. I looked at that check with tears in my eyes and said if I could teach this to all the single moms and dads out there in the world who are struggling to support their children (like I was) I would find a way to do it. Dean's forum has given me the chance to do just that. I made that promise to myself and I will honor that promise to anyone who is trying to make a better life for their family, because family is the most important reason to pursue rei. That's your why...

I don't think there is anyone on this site who can rave about the mentoring program more than I can, well ok CBR can!! It is what you want it to be. If you think you buy it Monday and you are a gazillionaire on Tuesday, well enough said. Study, participate in this site, ask questions to all of us,find deals and it will happen.....Jan

I want to join the mentor program but I was wondering if anybody here has had the opportunity to be apart of it and how successful it was? I am very anxious to get started with real estate investing but I have bad credit and no money. Basically I would love to know the success rate before I risk my last.

I have not bought the book yet, but am investigating. I saw Dean on TV and he seemed ligitmate. I am saying that because there are so many scams out there. I am coming to a turning point in my life to where I am tired of the same old work. I like what I do for a living but I do not love it and I do not make a lot of money. I want to feel exhilarated when I work each day. I have considered trying real estate and think I would be great at it, but have not known where to start. Writing to this post seems like a good place as any. Does Dean have a CD book for his new book? I can get thru CDs a lot faster than reading. If any one reads this, I am open to any comments, etc...

The book was great... I am not sure if there is a cd for it, but I tried other real estate coarses and could never finish them. But I really enjoyed his book and got alot of info, just waiting to take the next step. I guess I am afraid for some reason or another.

I think almost everyone here can relate to being scared about stepping out into Real Estate Investing. There are a couple of great threads where all of us have voiced our biggest fears. Just know that you are not alone, and that you CAN push through that and DEFINITELY be successful with Dean's programs. He is the real deal, and he has proven his strategies over and over (including RIGHT NOW). You just have to take that leap and start "doing". I encourage you to read all you can on this site, and, of course, finish reading the book. Then just get out there and start doing.

The mentoring program is well worth the money if you are willing to put in the time and effort. If you are determined to make REI work for you, this is an invaluable source of support and training.

Thanks for the post, I am hoping to join the mentor program this friday. I am ready to get into real estate investing, it is that sometimes it get a bit discouraging when I watch the news and my family thinks I am just dreaming too big. But despite it all, I think it is worth the risk! I'm ready!

Thank you to all who responded. I guess I will have to read the book after all. I also noticed on the site there is a CD collection that he has for $35 but it has a different title. Does anyone know if that is similar to the book, or an extention or something else I am not thinking of? Anyhow I have been reading a lot of blogs and a lot of them keep mentioning this mentor thing, so I guess when I read the book I will understand what that is all about as well.
Lastly, fear has also been a factor in me not moving foward. I fear buying a house and then not being able to sell, or rent it, and then me being stuck with the monthy payment. I know that I have not read the book yet, so I know it may cover this issue. Anyhow I am coming into a little bit of money soon and I think for me it does give me a little courage/something to fall back on, incase my real estate journey does not take full flight right away, but because I am a faily possitive person I do expect nothing less than brillant.

We share our successes, challenges, obstacles, anxieties, and fears. By doing this, we are able to learn from each other. Any question asked, we tried to do our best to provide an explanation. I encourage those who have not read Dean's book, to do so. It is a very informative learning tool, with success stories as examples to add further understanding about the real estate business. hello dg family
i am the peek a boo kid... a little intimidated by the virtual world and overdosed by all the info. ironically i don't have a shy bone in my body. any way, i made myself a promise that i would use the forums to elevate my dream of investing while i saved money to join the mentoring program.i want to feel emotionally connected to others who are on the same wavelength. i figured the site could help with that. everytime i think i can get out there and do it on my own i get tangled up. i have a couple of temporary limiting factors, no car, no home of my own, no job/ reliable income. no worries, rei will change all that. so far, i have read dean's book. and i look @ properties in the market and i visit the site, watch the testimonials for inspiration. the possibilities are electrifying. i know for me that an assignment is my 1st step but that feels hard although i have read it is easy. today i went on craigslist and backpage and felt like i got dropped off in a foreign country. it was still progress.i googled for investors and suddenly felt google-phobic.
of course all these ideas came from u all. i really appreciate all of you so much because i feel like such a wall flower(complete opposite of my personality i'm usually the life of the party) but not in rei world LOL and i can tell u that, get a laugh out of it and not have stones thrown @ me. talk about a win-win-win deal.

i have a qick story about what can come out of you when you least expect it as a result of reading and studying and absorbing from what dean set into motion. someone i know (anonymous ex) was offered a part in a deal, after talking to a lawyer who said it was illegal and couldn't be done he was bumbed. what came out of my mouth was astounding now that i think about it. anyway, thanks to what i've learned from dean without realizing it, i told him to do xyz and that he could make the deal work. i asked about the deal today, he said it was a done deal in thirty days he'll be making 45k. go figure.
