Finers Fees

Finers Fees

Hello

My credit sucks so I want to start off by getting finders fees. How do I go about this? What do I say to the property owners? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Anne,

Find Investors (REI clubs, ads etc)tell them what you are doing and ask if they give a fee. See if they will work with you, some may even "mentor" you. This is how I am starting. I plan on negotiating a fee for finding them deals, anywhere from $100-$1000-maybe more! Smiling depending on their potenial profit....and I hope to do A LOT of them! lol! Good Luck!

How to get the courage to start?

Hi, Just a little abt my self. I just got lay off from the company I was working for 8 yrs. I decided to take this time off to venture to do something different and do something that for a while I have being interest to do like RE but I always thought that I need it capital to start.

I read Dean's book and I was able to learn that I don't need money to start this venture. Can someone share some words of encouragement and to guide me on how to make the first move. Since at this moment I have no extra capital, I was thinking to start on finder fee.

Carol

Hi Carol

Welcome to the family!

You're not alone... I have no capital, umemployed (but looking & my husband works)and my coach at PMI told me this is a great way to start so I'm jumping in with both feet! I have been a member for a while now & got my business set up first, LLC etc...
Feels like I've been dragging my feet but I was checking out financing, which I recently found out I can't get at this time. Ya just have to kick yourself in the butt and DO IT!Smiling

Don't let ANYONE tell you this CAN'T be done, if you have the desire, you will find a way. After I have built my fortune Smiling, I will move on to assigns or better yet buying for myself! Feel free to ask me (an any DG family members) any questions, I will be starting a journal soon too. I don't have ALL the answers but I can help motivate you!

Good luck to you & hang in there, we're with ya!

Dawn

Hey Dawn

I read Dean's book, but it doesn't state what questions you should ask if the person is already looking to sell. People who’s homes are ready to go up for auction. How do you negotiate and let them know that you can find quick investors to help them? I'm new to this real estate stuff, and since I have crappy credit, I figured finders fees will be best for now; until I fix my credit. \

Thanks for your help

Thank You

Hi Dawn,
Thank You so much for your support. I will make sure to keep myself motivated and thank god there are people like you and the rest of the DG family for support. I don't know where to start? I read Dean's book but still don't u/stand how can I go abt contacting sellers for finder's fee.

any suggestion?

Welcome Carol!

I'm not a big fan of bird dogging, because someone else is making money off your work finding the deal. So if you're not afraid to talk to the owner, make them an offer and lock in a contract then I say DO IT! He who controls the contract controls all the money! But that's me... LOL!

Good luck and God bless you,

carol....your NOTcontacting sellers...

your contacting real estate investors that are looking for Ugly houses to REHAB and re-sell for a profit. You can start by calling on AD's in your local Newspaper that say "We Buy Houses" or something of that nature, and ask if their activley buying properties and if they are, what EXACTLY are they looking for?, Thats how you can get your buyers list started.
