This Weekly Wisdom is not about making money in real estate. There's no new secret this week that will make your deals come in faster or be more profitable. In fact, for some, this blog may be more important than any of those things. Watch and see...

HELPINGOUT
THANK YOU DEAN FOR YOUR TIME & EFORTS I APRICIATE THAT MERRYCHRISTMASS
90 Day Guarantee
Dean, looks like you have won this challenge. I thought anything can be accomplished in 90 days but I was wrong on this one. My original goal was help on the Grant and Tax Sale Programs with income properties as the last step. Your Training Program got me reversed so I didn't succeed for the TV interview either. I'll have to make it up somewhere else or I'll never hear the end of it. I only needed a refresher to get back in the RE game but definitely needed help with the Grant & Tax Sale Programs. Let me know if I'm wasting time with those programs so I can make up for lost time. Your weekly blogs are inspirational and the $200 to help the Needy is very thoughtful. Happy New Year, Bill Hennig
heavenward-bound

A Delightful Surprise
This is the first time I've watched one of the video's on this blog. How wonderful for my introduction to be an offer of help with nothing expected in return. Boy! is that the original spirit of the season.
Merry Christmas to you and your staff,
Renee
the joy of giving
Happy blessed Christmas for you Dean and for the DG christian community!
I think your Christmas gifts are like... wonderful music, because when people in need are helped, Jesus is helped. (as the NT states)

Dean, your news of sharing
this holiday season does not surprise me. I just know that's who you are. We were so lucky to find a mom with three boys to shop for. Our kids are grown, no grandbabies yet. So we had a ton of fun buying little people clothes and Tonka trucks. What fun we had finding a bag of action figures at a consignment store. There must have been 40 or 50 well-known characters for three brothers to play with. Awesome.
I want to share this poem from Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet:
Then said a rich man, "Speak to us of Giving."
And he answered: You give but little when you give of your possessions.
It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.
For what are your possessions but things you keep and guard for fear you may need them tomorrow?
And tomorrow, what shall tomorrow bring to the overprudent dog burying bones in the trackless sand as he follows the pilgrims to the holy city?
And what is fear of need but need itself?
Is not dread of thirst when your well is full, thirst that is unquenchable?
There are those who give little of the much which they have - and they give it for recognition and their hidden desire makes their gifts unwholesome.
And there are those who have little and give it all.
These are the believers in life and the bounty of life, and their coffer is never empty.
There are those who give with joy, and that joy is their reward.
And there are those who give with pain, and that pain is their baptism.
And there are those who give and know not pain in giving, nor do they seek joy, nor give with mindfulness of virtue;
They give as in yonder valley the myrtle breathes its fragrance into space.
Though the hands of such as these God speaks, and from behind their eyes He smiles upon the earth.
It is well to give when asked, but it is better to give unasked, through understanding;
And to the open-handed the search for one who shall receive is joy greater than giving
And is there aught you would withhold?
All you have shall some day be given;
Therefore give now, that the season of giving may be yours and not your inheritors'.
You often say, "I would give, but only to the deserving."
The trees in your orchard say not so, nor the flocks in your pasture.
They give that they may live, for to withhold is to perish.
Surely he who is worthy to receive his days and his nights is worthy of all else from you.
And he who has deserved to drink from the ocean of life deserves to fill his cup from your little stream.
And what desert greater shall there be than that which lies in the courage and the confidence, nay the charity, of receiving?
And who are you that men should rend their bosom and unveil their pride, that you may see their worth naked and their pride unabashed?
See first that you yourself deserve to be a giver, and an instrument of giving.
For in truth it is life that gives unto life - while you, who deem yourself a giver, are but a witness.
And you receivers - and you are all receivers - assume no weight of gratitude, lest you lay a yoke upon yourself and upon him who gives.
Rather rise together with the giver on his gifts as on wings;
For to be overmindful of your debt, is to doubt his generosity who has the free-hearted earth for mother, and God for father.
Dean, I have received much from you. I joyfully pay it forward and wish you multiple returns on your giving.
peace,
MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR DEAN

Help For The Needy
My 17 year old son passed away in August of this year due to an illeness. He has been battling through medical issues all his life including receiving a heart and lung transplant. My husband still hasn't gone back to work. The Doctors want to rule out his panic attacks as something neurological. So they won't give him a release to go back to work. They can't understand how devestating it is to lose a child. I can't do this on my own. We are out of oil, buying minimal groceries, and Christmas, well I wasnt' able to purchase for other 2 children and grandson. We really don't feel like celebrating anyway. I'm working all the overtime I can, but I'm so tired, I just want to get some groceries and maybe a little bit of oil to hear our home. Thank-you
Paying it forward
Dean, first, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family. Second, Thank you for once again paying it forward and helping others.
Also, thanks for sharing the experience of giving. I think there is a lot of value in that because it inspires others to give too.
I love this quote: "There is no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end"..Scott Adams.
We wish everyone out there a Happy Holiday season, and all the best in 2012!

Merry Christmas Dean!
and everyone on this site!
I love Christmas time, with all the beautiful lights adorning the houses in the neighborhood, and the Christmas trees, decorated with ornaments, showing through the windows. But mostly, the thoughts of giving that everyone experiences... thinking of the less fortunate people that surround us, and reaching out a helping hand.
Wishing everyone a peaceful season,
Valerie
Merry Christmas!

Dean,
You are an inspiration to all of us, I have done what I can to help those in need this holiday season, but truly hope to be able to be as generous as you someday. As said by other DGer's it isn't always the monetary gifts, we can all find ways to give of ourselves in some capacity that will help others. Merry Christmas, and God Bless.

Giving!
Very inspiring!! I have been an inner-city school teacher caring for the neediest children in my community for 33 years...Daily giving has been a miracle and has always enriched my life. The ripple effect is the most exciting part because we are seldom aware of the far reaching positive energy that touches the many...but we know in our hearts that it does make a huge difference!
Here is to all the DG family that give daily here and continue to enrich the lives they touch.
2012...It will be a banner year!! Thank you!!
Miss Tish
Your Charity and Generosity!
Dean,
As a professional fundraiser myself I was inspired by your message of charity that you and your staff are extending to those in need. I work as a fundraiser for a children's home in Pennsylvania and have been in position for 11 years now. One of the main things that I try and get across to people is that their giving begins in their hearts and that people give to what they care about. It is nice to see you giving back at this time of year but what may be even more important is that all of us give all year not just at this time of the year. Yes, this is the time when people are the most giving but the needs of others don't stop after the holidays end. Just my thoughts! Glad you had a great Christmas and keep up your generosity throughout the year.
Blessings, Dave Johnson
The Greatest gift
The greatest gift on this planet is LOVE. It can be spread in so many different ways. The service you give to others is one way to spread that kindness & love for mankind.
It is an honor to read these blogs & think outside the box.
When we work together & support each other we all grow from it.
Thanks for sharing in such a great idea for continuing to show hope to others & by passing it on. :0)
Merry Christmas Dean
I hope you and yours had a lovely holiday. Thank you for sharing the wonderful story of giving. Yes, I do have a couple of people in mind that are in great need. This was somewhat a hard holiday, my son is struggling to pay his bills, rent etc and no money for gifts for my grandson (14yrs & 16yrs of age). He has a job but, its just not enough for him and his wife to get control.
I have long exhausted any and all savings I had and a week before Xmas I was put on diasbility. Am awiting for my check now. So, I have plenty of time to study R.E. Wholesaling. Yes, its a trying time for me.
Also, my roommate doing the same week, her car broke down on the freeway and she has 5 kids and she is without funds to repair it. She is a very kind hearted person and is just going with it. But, deep inside she is hurting.
If you can help one of them or both, I would really appreciate it. Normally, I would pitch in to help.
Love & Many Blessings Always
