Investing Journals

I know that this forum is full of posts of member's success stories. However they get lost in the shuffle and new members often miss out on the excitement. I thought it would be awesome to have one journal where each person on the forum can post 1 thing that they have successfully accomplished since reading one of Dean's books.

This journal will be an icon of encouragement for all the new members as well as the seasoned (we need encouragement sometimes too )

If each person would post their first accomplishment after reading one of Dean's books, being in the Success Academy etc... how long it took to make your first profit from Dean's teachings and the strategy that you used. I think it would encourage allot of people who are fearful of stepping out and making it happen.

So here's the deal,

I finally got a job yesterday working for a Real Estate Investing firm. I really desired a job in an atmosphere like this one because I feel this is a great opportunity for me to apply what I've learn here & I believe I'll learn a lot from hand on experience and it will open tons of great doors for my Real Estate Investing future. I'll be training as a manager due to my previous Managerial Experience. I'm excited I start training next week. However I need more help building my buyers/investors list. The company has a great amount of inventory that is very lucrative and there looking to get rid of all of it. And there adamant about purchasing more properties. So I'm back here for more advice and help.

DG Admin, I want to order Dean's new book and all that comes with it. I called the # on his infomercial and it only spoke of the 2 before " Your Town Your real Estate Profits". I want all 3. I will be paying my order with a debit card (Visa) so I need to know how much to put on my card. Thank you in advance.

After reading several journals, I feel it is time to start mine. I received Deans books at the end of september of 2009. Now these are not the first Real Estate courses I have bought. I have several, I have been Interested in Real Estate for the last 22 Years, But I have not been as successful as I would like to be. This is the best deal I have seen so far, with the free website that members can interact with each other, give advice and encouragemeent to each other. That is so very important when you are dealing in real estate, it is easy to get discouraged and lose sight of your goals. Dean's books have gotten me out of my confort zone. Since reading the books and being on this site I have taken several action steps.

1-- Found a Realator that is an investor himself

This is my first time writing a Journal so I'm not sure what format to follow. I guess this will be just about the Real Estate career I'm trying to build.
To start,
My brother and I are investing in this one property that has a $100K mortgage, we decided to fix a few things so we can sell the place for a much bigger profit. Right now all we have left to do is finish the cabinets in the kitchen and put the tile there and also in the breakfast area.
The place is looking so nice, I am exited about the upcoming weeks.
I guess is all for now, I will try to keep the progress posted in this journal not only of this one property but also my REI career.

1/27/10 A.M.

It's taken me some time to begin my journal and why not start today the day I received Dean's new book "Your Town Your Real Estate Profits!" I briefly looked at the chapter on Greg Murphy and can't wait to tear into the rest of the book.

As far as REI, today was a bit disappointing. A deal I was working fell through. It was to be my first deal. This particular deal was a no money down deal using money from a private lender.

I received a lead call from a motivated seller today. He has one home facing foreclosure and he is interested in selling an 8-plex. Tomorrow I plan to speak to a couple of investors I know who purchase multi units. I'm not familiar with the area the 8-plex is located but I'll look to wholesale to an end buyer.

First of all I would like to thank everyone for calling me from my 1st runner up video. I would like to just say that I am truly sorry that I have not posted the way I should have and shared my success. I was really surprised that people actually got the number off the bandit sign and called to see if I was really real or a paid actor, well I am real and was completely broke, no job,and had just filed bankruptcy. I owe all my success to the Success acadamy and onsite training. I still use the hotline and my course work, still to this day. Things didn't go real well for me the first six months, but in the last seven months I have received over $60,000.00 in down payments. I own 1.4 million dollars worth of real estate, with a $2000.00 a month positive cash flow.

I forgot to mention that I ordered "Deans" books on 12/22/09. They arrived on 12/26/09.

Reading those books and burning this site onto the side of my Brain has made me get off of my B.... and do something.

Again, you all are very inspirational.
