I am asking the experienced forum users to state how i can obtain judgment and lien info on a given property without having to go down to the courthouse or pay some fortune online?

Does anyone know where to look up property information that's free to the public in Georgia. I'm thinking about relocating there, and was looking for property tax information for different counties.

Where I live in ohio it's easy to look up property information and tax information. Our county website even breaksdown the percent.

Just spent an hour or so on my Counties web site looking over all the different tax rates IE; County/Town, School, and Special Tax rates. Boring stuff but important in knowing all the surrounding towns and villages tax rates. Book marked it so now I can get right to it when I need too. Tax rate X Assessment value = tax.
Now when it came to the Equalization Rate it got a little confusing. I think I understand it but not sure. In NY, Equalization rates are established by the New York State Office of Real Property Services to be used in the apportionment of the county tax levy.

Please let me know if I'm not posting this in the right section.I just wanted to ask what are the main things that you need to research when look into a property?...What do you need to determine in order for a deal to be worth moving forward with?

If anyone has used lease options before it would be nice to know how you take over someones monthly mortgage payments through escrow.So you get a down payment from your future tenant and negotiate with the seller to take their payments over and make their late payments that part i get.but do you have to take title to the property in order to do so or can you just record a memorandum of option and use the lease forms.How i thought it was done is you open up escrow and have the escrow agent send the mortgage holder their monthly payments and you your payment.Is this correct.

I acquired a property through a tax lien sale. The redemption period had expired and the county issued a Tax Deed which was recorded at the courthouse. I now had legal title and possession to the property. Upon getting possession of the property, there was information in the house that gave a phone number of the former owner. I contacted him to tell him about the tax lien sale. The former owner objected to the tax lien process and sued to recover the property. His objection was that he hadn’t received proper notice of the sale. The only address he left with the county tax collector was the address of the property. He lived out of state.

I am about to purchase a property in Kansas City, MO 64130. Does anyone have any experience with this market. Is it a good place to invest in at this time.

I am thinking I need to get a Home Inspection and Appraisal of the property. Will anyone be able to refer me to a good ethical resource that will do a great job at reasonable cost.

Getting frustrated....I can pull up the maps of a community but I cannot get the specific address and parcel number...I want to send out a mailing....any suggestions on how to access this info?
