Understand the bidding process before you start bidding online
December 31st, 2009 | posted by derlingMore and more counties are going online to perform their tax lien sales. Two of the bigger sites that perform these on a counties behalf are http://www.bid4assets.com/help/index.cfm?fuseAction=TaxSale and http://realauction.com/template.cfm?r=LeftMenu/ListCountyauctions.

December 17th, 2009 | posted by derlingIf you are pursuing tax lien certificates or tax deeds, you will find more obscure properties here thean anywhere else. Many owners will lose interest in their obscure property and decide to stop poaying taxes on it. Here are a few examples:
How about a property that is located on the side of a hill or mountain.or near a flood zone with a miinimal amount of flat land.
tax sales/deeds
December 15th, 2009 | posted by smartbuilderHi everyone,
I posted a topic in this forum already, but I was hoping to talk with someone who has gone through the auction process or has bought tax deeds directly from the state (hard to find information on where to actually purchase these without getting the runaround). I'd love to talk to you one on one and hear your experiences. Whether it’s a PM or phone call, I would appreciate it greatly.
If you feel extra nice and want to call PM me for my number.
Thanks everyone,
Jason

tax sale
December 10th, 2009 | posted by smartbuilderIs the only way to acquire a tax sale through an auction or is there another way to get the property without the potential of it being bid through the roof. Like directly through the county or the owner. I know this may be a dumb question but I know that there are many knowledgeable people here who have gone through this. thanks
